Fanfare is a worldwide known video sharing app which has more than 200.000 users. The idea behind Fanfare is to use the effectiveness of videos as marketing tools. Fanfare's longterm goal is to replace the current centralised coins used in their system with their own ERC-20 FAN Token, and use the FAN token as fuel for their platform. Brands will have to use FAN Tokens to turn the videos into shoppable videos. The creators of the videos, which are verified as shoppable, will be rewarded with FAN Tokens. Everything bought and sold on the platform will be paid with the FAN token, thus create a steady demand and rise in value for the token.
Using the Fanfare will also by-pass the intermediaries such as advertising and marketing agencies and thus brand owners reduce their costs while content creators recieve a fairer share of the value they created. Without the intermediaries or third-parties, all transactions will be performed fast and unrestricted by the reliability of the blockchain technology.

Fanfare has a working product and already a quite big userbase, which both is, of course, a plus. The Fanfare team has lots of experience in all different kind of sectors, but it is still rather small. The idea itself fits in the current time but also requires substantial marketing efforts. It will be interesting to see how Fanfare approaches the challenge of getting big named influencers and content creators on their platform. If they can "recruit" some of them, most certainly others will follow. A strong base of popular content creators leads to bigger interest, bigger interest leads to more users, and more users leads to bigger interest for the brand owners and vice versa. Thus, if Fanfare overcomes this challenge and uses their first mover advantage wisely they could be a successful business.
