I invested a few ETH in an ICO (I will not name for now), a few days ago. Shortly after sending my ether, I got the tokens and didn't really pay attention to the exact number of received tokens as it had a lot of numbers after the decimal point.
Today I got a message in telegram from the CTO, asking me where I got or bought their coins.
Turned out that a bug had sent me a 100 times more coins than I should have got initially and I was the holder of 10% of their coins allocated for the ICO.
For a few days I had 617,000 coins, during first stages of ICO valued at $123k or $250k at the final stage!
Being a nice guy, I returned the 600k coins and got a nice bonus for being honest. At the end of the ICO they should be worth about 1 bitcoin.
Who knows what those 600k coins will be worth in a few years, we'll see....
Maybe I will become as famous as the guy who paid 10k bitcoins for a pizza, back in the day :)
If they cost $9500, like the bitcoin today, I would become a trillionaire with the balance of $5,861,500,000
