What does the company/project do?
dock.io is a decentralised data exchange protocol built on blockchain. We’re building an open and connected solution allowing users to truly own their data, and enabling applications to communicate and transfer data. dock.io is not a product or application, but a protocol capable of powering data for thousands of applications and technologies beyond what exist today. dock.io enables seamless connectivity of data across the web, allowing a user to update their data in one application, and instantly push that update to any sources they wish
OPPORTUNITIES:
dock.io already has 3 relatively strong partnerships created - Fund Request, Remote (+2.5M users), SmartRecruiters (+12M users). They will also reserve 30% of the raise funds in order to incentivise partnerships. In the competitive environment of today partnerships are the key to expansion.
They have a working Alpha that they claim is growing by around 3K users every day.
This is a protocol built on the Ethereum Blockchain that can potentially link datasets between LinkedIn, Facebook, Udemy etc. This is a huge deal and furthermore DApps should eventually start being built on top of dock.ai.
Concerns:
The roadmap only runs until the end of 2018. I cannot find a longer-term vision of where the company is planning to be or any expansion plans.
Native token is not necessary for this business model in my opinion. Could work but there is no real advantage to it .
59% of the tokens have been sold out during the pre-sale at a 40% discount (50% of the bonus is locked for 4 months).
