Hi guys. Do you like to write code? Do you like to write code on Java? If the answer to both questions is yes, then this post if for you.

If you have the experience to write code on Java, then you know that it is not so easy to find some Integrated Development Environment(IDE), especially free. In my opinion from the exercises from the university, it was very nice and comfortable to write code on IntelliJ Idea.

But this is only temporary because it is a commercial product and it is not very cheap. Yes, it deserves the money but not everybody can spend money on it.
So what are the alternatives? I know the following IDE appropriate to code on Java and they are free
- Eclipse

- Net Beans

Of course, there are also another available on the net, but these are the most famous.
On the following link, you can download Spring Tool Suite which includes configured Eclipse based on version 4.8.0. It is available for Windows, Mac and, Linux. I use the version for the Linux.
I decided to share this with you because for now, it works well for me.
The installation under the Linux Mint is nothing hard. You just must extract the downloaded file somewhere, on some comfortable place for you on disk. When you extract the file, then in the target directory will appear folder named - Eclipse STS
To start IDE, just enter in this directory and then go to sts-bundle
and after this, choose folder named something like that sts-3.9.5.RELEASE
Inside this folder, there is one executable file named STS. Double click on it and the IDE will run.
I really hope all of this to be useful for you. I want to thank you for stopping by and wish you to have a great day.
If you didn't see the link above, you can download IDE from here
