In a pandemic time like this with restraining movements, people suffer differently. While others may not have access to internet, others have difficulty with feeding.

Yesterday, April 11, IFAN was able to distribute food relief materials to 70 households in Oyo state at different locations, and I’m glad to have volunteered with other young people for this project.

In selection of the households, special consideration was given to widows and disabled persons. The food relief materials distributed included beans, garri, palm oil, rice, groundnut oil etc.

The least we can do is to provide support where it is needed most, the Covid-19 pandemic has hit the entire human race badly, affecting our health and economy.

This is the first phase of distribution of food relief materials to the most vulnerable. And with continuous support and donations from people, we’ll continue with this.

This project by IFAN (Initiative For Adequate Nutrition) was done in partnership with Hope Soars and SafeBoda.

The locations covered included Ojoo, Agbowo, Okeitunu, Isopako, Eleyele, Ologuneru, Gate, Monatan, Gbagi, Aromolaran, Beere, Oje, Odinjo and Oja-oba.

While we continue in the fight against the common invisible enemy, the Corona virus, we must not forget there is another enemy, called hunger, the virus might not kill people at Lockdown but hunger can.
