What is the reason ....

to wake up in the morning?
What is your life goal?
Are you enjoying what you are doing?
Are you doing well and moving ahead in your career?
In what you're doing has a positive effect on the people you love ?

Ah ! don't be overwhelmed by reading this, but then I have been questioning myself with these for a few months and I think I found a guidances in "Ikigai"

From Wikipedia:

Ikigai (生き甲斐, pronounced [ikiɡai]) is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being." Everyone, according to Japanese culture, has an ikigai. Finding it requires a deep and often lengthy search of self. Such a search is important to the cultural belief that discovering one's ikigai brings satisfaction and meaning to life.Examples include work, hobbies and raising children.

The term ikigai compounds two Japanese words: iki (wikt:生き) meaning "life; alive" and kai (甲斐) "(an) effect; (a) result; (a) fruit; (a) worth; (a) use; (a) benefit; (no, little) avail" (sequentially voiced as gai) "a reason for living [being alive]; a meaning for [to] life; what [something that] makes life worth living; a raison d'etre".

Now summing up all these and putting it in a graphical view makes less overwhelming and pushes you to focus on the core.

if you want to also embark on this journey remember few things:
a) it's a journey , your Ikigai today may or may not be valid or hold good tomorrow as priorities change. Today, if work is important tomorrow work-life balance could be priority.
b) until and unless its not followed up with actions - the goal remains elusive
c) print and pin it , so you are reminded

Happy exploring
