iLink2Music, a Blockchain Project in Music Industry

Show business is one of the spheres of society that suffers from disconnection and intermediary very much. In most cases, you can't support your favorite artist with money without paying some percentage to a third party. When the recordings of some artists are sold, usually a very small part of this money goes to the artist/author. If you own a music label or you are a manager of some artist you have to spend much money on promotion of your artists and releases. The bigger labels have bigger risks (probably you recall how EMI lost around $10m after troubles with Mariah Carey in 2002). The promoters of festivals and many many other people working in the industry strongly depend on the honesty of other people, on the ability to communicate with others, on the transparency of contracts. The music industry chain has so many parts, and most of these parts are associated with people who want to get paid for what they do (although there are enthusiasts, too). The complexity of the relations in the music industry evoked numerous nervous breakdowns, scandals, bankruptcies, deaths (!) and so on. It's understood that people need solutions, and happily all kinds of musical activity is another thing that blockchain can improve.

What is iLink2Music and What Do They Offer?

The project's website says that Link2Music "is an emerging tailor-made Music Entertainment Social Media Platform Powered By BlockChain, uniting Artists, Executives & Music Lovers worldwide, regardless of their age, experience, race or beliefs."

On iLink2Music everyone can create an account specifying his/her position in the world of music (whether it's some kind of expertise in the industry or musical talent, and so on). From a fan to a big star, from a technician to a producer — literally, everyone can point at his/her place on the map of the universe of music.

The members of an iLink2Music community will able to communicate, participate in contests, win some prizes, or attract professional attention. The developers of iLink2Music hope that their platform will grow into an online community (or interactive network) that will provide reviews, entertainment, professional links, contests, shared media, live streamings, fundraising, and so on, globally.

Happily enough the iLink2Music team has something more than just a "hope". They've got the plan! It consists of 4 steps:

1. iLink2Music is going to analyze the opinions in the community in order to specify the most demanded content and format.

2. The team is going to bring some original content to the table. The type of content will depend on the conclusions made as a result of step one. The goal is to create "relevant, helpful, engaging & information-rich content".

3. iLink2Music will analyze the community's feedback on the content brought by the platform team to figure out the most appealing trends.

4. Finally, iLink2Music will start to develop their platform in the most popular directions, correcting themselves as they go. The goal is to attract as much attention as they can.

The ELINK Token

The blockchain-based iLink2Music has its own ERC-20 token ELINK. The token provides secure access to the IL2Voting platform which is utilized for voting in Celebrity/Influencer contests and for paying ads, shows, sponsorship, and other activities. IL2Voting is also needed for running the contests. The voting is anonymous, and the privacy is delivered by the same ELINK token.

The supply is limited to 10,000,000,000 ELINKS. In the picture below you can see the way these tokens will be distributed.

The launch of mobile apps is scheduled for the second quarter of 2019.

The need for the international platform that makes communication in the music industry easier is drastic. We can only welcome all the actions aimed at bringing all kinds of people engaged in music and music lovers together. Integration is power!
