I think I'm going to do a daily Steemit tip, till I get the hang of this. I learned how to add an image today. So I'll pass it on to you.
Upload your image to a site like imgur or Img Safe https://imgsafe.org/
Then copy the image url http;//exampleurl.com/image.jpg
Semicolon in above url used to show url, use : in replace of ;
Then place the image in the post where you want it using this markup ![](your image url here)
The image will then appear in that part of the post.
The wierd thing I've noticed is sometimes you seem to need the markup for images and other times you can just add the url and the image will show up in the post. Anyway, it's probably a good idea to use the markup to be safe.
Use tinypic i find it easier but you do have to have the pic file downloaded then you uploaded it then you copy and paste the "Direct Link For Layouts" url into your atory and the pic pops up all the time

I've used Dropbox to store my images as it makes it easy to get a URL. I've noticed that sometimes the editor doesn't have the toolbar, but if it's there then you can use it to generate the code. I need to learn more Markdown so make my posts prettier
