The latest misinformation piece from the right: those "separated" kids are just unwanted.
Of the 2800 separated kids, almost 2000 have been reunited. We still haven't found the parents for 545 of them. For 485, the deported parents have been found, but for now at least, the kids are staying in the US with relatives or foster parents as many of the parents are still working to be admitted.
But this headline makes is sound like the 545 aren't an issue, it's just the parents don't want the kids. Absolutely not true. For almost one in five of the kids we separated, we lost track of their parents. And additional 485 are here with known parents deported.
I swear, the next one will be "the kids wanted to be separated".
