Continuing my thoughts on cooperation with nature to reap its great benefits in a holistic spirit vs. the usual approach of exploiting nature out of an artificial enemy image.
The more I think about the paradigm that is coming to an end these days the more I find it resembles one conceptional unit in many if not all aspects of our lives. It's a paradigm of antagonism, destruction and opposing forces. It's an almost religiously held notion that everything is a metaphor for war, that things are mere objects to be dominated and moved around, and that everything was "created" out of a magnificent explosion. An allegedly non-destructive but creative explosion.
Have never seen anything like it.
But where we think that this is merely a metaphor in cosmology it could also be taken as a representative symbol for our conception of the universe. We glorify antagonism and have created entire economic structures on competition and a battle for scarce resources. We think of everything in terms of things and project that same separation and inability to comprehend holistically unto nature to be able to read back rationalizations for our own behavior.
And - what's probably most stunning - we use our machinery this way as well.
We drive around on little explosion machines! Continously contained exploding-machines that burn fuel to create regulated and dominated combustions, propelling our engines forward.
Were someone visiting us from another dimension who may not share in this cosmological tale of the creative "big bang as the beginning of time and space", he would just marvel at all the little explosion machines people are driving around with somuch certainty in their demeanor and basic assumptions.
One could make out our religious notions of the age by simply looking at our technology and our approach to nature in this destructive and antagonistic, pyromanic manner. Combusting things to resist other things, and to get things done.
What then would mark the shift to a new paradigm?
Well, there is the idea that we are moving into an age of implosion, rather than staying in the age of explosion. It would mean a respective shift to a more inwards-focussed awareness and attention rather than an outward-moving emphasis like previously. Just like an implosion draws energy from the outside to the inner and an explosion propels the inner energy to the outer.
Just as many are starting to realize the importance of looking inwards for answers, guidance and solutions so are we coming across many new ideas to add our energetic qualities to the applications interacting with nature bringing about synergies and an overall enriched existence. Borrowing energetic streams from the infinite to let us be propelled by, rather than swimming against the tide with all our might and brute force. Instead of taking and alienating aspects of nature to work against itself we see the merit of supporting nature in ways that agree with its basic modus operandi.
A more integral approach, a more mature one.
What do you think?
