We need to change Canada’s economic landscape more than ever before. Due to the current state of affairs across the nation, there is an unprecedented need to strengthen our social and economic ties – now more than ever before.
We need to mobilize and build a strong foundation in the face of an elevating global pandemic, Coronavirus (Covid-19); the crisis within the energy sector and environmental degradation to treaty lands; the political unrest over major resource developments; the economic strain that resulted from the renegotiation of international trade agreements and more.
We must look within ourselves and support one another to find solutions and opportunities!
It is pertinent that Canada understands and supports Indigenous peoples, communities, and businesses alike: the moment has come for all of us to help build an inclusive, virtual economic network.
ItsTimeForChange: Virtual Economic Inclusion Platform:
Our virtual portal. itstimeforchange.ca (ITFC), is an online resource that Canada’s business community will recognize and consider as a valued backbone to our economy, on and offline. We recruit and support our members by helping improve their business prospects and advance our member’s strategic positioning within the broader national business network.
ITFC’s mission is based on transformational change and network mobilization to ensure that all Indigenous business owners and peoples alike have equal access and control over resources to help build and/or stabilize growth and development.
Truth and Reconciliation Commission:
In an effort to reconcile with Indigenous peoples of Canada there have been significant developments: the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission; increased federal investments; the settlements of long-standing land claims; the adoption of the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People and the duty to consult are all factors that have contributed to a new set of circumstances that are furthering the economic interests of all parties across our country.
Re-examining Economic System to Boost Economic Growth in 2020:
Governments and the greater business community are re-examining the supply chain and fully recognize that the previous economic system no longer works in 2020. So, why do we need to change? The easy answer is “what we have done so far has not worked,” but the resolutions lie within an action, opportunity, and community building within our own virtual network.
You have to be a part of this; stay engaged and self-advocate. Consider the purchasing power of Canada’s Indigenous peoples: they are building schools, hospitals, houses with roads connecting to thriving communities, constructing transmission lines, developing resources, and establishing new business partnerships.
Yet there are still roadblocks in place due to the COVID-related reboot to the state of our country’s economy.
Join Canada’s Aboriginal Inclusion Network:
Regardless of the existing issues we face, this grass-roots based economy is growing virtually and we need all of us involved to make socially responsible and progressive changes in this complicated professional landscape.
It is the opportune time to change, mobilize and advocate for a tighter knit online community that can directly impact the physical, social and economic connections for all; a network based on the fair and equal inclusion and support of all Canadian identities. After all, a wise man once said “your network is your net worth,” however with ITFC, it’s your network to use that will directly support your net worth.
