Hutan telah memberikan manfaat yang luar biasa bagi kehidupan, seperti sumber air untuk mengairi lahan pertanian masyarakat, apabila hutan tersebut terus dirambah menyebabkan kekeringan dan sumber daya air akan hilang.

Terlihat anak- anak bermain dalam genangan banjir, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini seringkali kita melihat bencana banjir bandang di Aceh akibat terjadinya deforestasi.
