The medium frequency induction furnace is a device that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to convert electrical energy into heat energy to melt metal.

Working principle:

The working principle of the medium frequency induction furnace is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and Joule-Lenz's law. When the AC power supply is connected to the induction coil (inductor), an alternating magnetic field is generated around the coil when the AC current passes through the induction coil.

The metal material to be melted is placed in this alternating magnetic field. Due to the electromagnetic induction effect, an induced electromotive force is generated inside the metal material, and then an induced current (eddy current) is formed. These eddy currents flow inside the metal material. Since the metal material has a certain resistance, Joule heat is generated when the current passes through the resistance, causing the metal material to heat up and melt rapidly.

Application:

  1. Iron and steel casting industry:

used to melt various cast iron, cast steel and other metal materials, and produce various castings.

  1. Non-ferrous metal smelting:

such as smelting copper, aluminum, zinc, magnesium and their alloys, etc., used to manufacture various non-ferrous metal castings, die castings, profiles and other products.
