Industrialization: Is it the birth of prosperity but the the death of mother nature?

I am not anti industrialization….who don’t want a good life after all? all of us dream to have a good life. A life of abundance which we can buy all what we need and sometimes what we just want. Maybe a good house, luxury cars, travel around the world and a lot more. This is the usual face of abundance brought by the industrialization-prosperity. As a matter of fact we are spending much of our time working hard to earn money to support our family…It is not a crime afterall, it is not either aiming too much but just doing the best we can for our family to enjoy this life. We have a lot of workers who works overtime..some chose to work away from their families just to give them the best life one is dreaming for. What I am just saying is everyone dream to have a good life and I knew you will agree with me if I say this that no one is not exempt for this.
Looking back to primitive years we have forest, clear oceans, seas, rivers, streams and other bodies of water… fishes of different types were freely roving around the water. The sun seems to continue to rise and set…the trees were standing straight firmly towards the sky as if reaching out to God. The air breeze is really soothing in everyones soul…Hmmmp a real paradise seems. But then man intelligence continue to evolve and create equipments they used to uplift their life…In their quest to have a good life they start thinking to change the usual way of living…they build factories, malls, roads and bridges, buildings and even cars airplanes and a lot more. 20170415_172950.jpg

If you look around now you see buildings for different business purposes, and even houses of different sizes and styles..we have also malls, wide roads and bridges around…Indeed the world is changing…as a result we have a lot of jobs. Employment rate is really high and man continue to savor the fruits of industrialization which themselseves created…but let me wake you up for you to see the other side of industrialization….

Look around now..can you still see the clear sky, the clear bodies of water…the cold breeze of the wind or even the tall trees in the forest, the chirping of the birds. The green meadows, the carabao pulling some carts in the rough roads … where are they? I Instead we see a heavy traffic in the roads, the cemented wide roads, malls instead of green meadows, the tall buildings instead of tall trees, rockets, choppers and airplanes instead of birds flying freely in blue sky…The fact is all this changes makes our lifestyle more easy and lively but the truth remains that we have sacrificed more than what we got.
Look at this picture

this is the road widening project of the government as a result they slay trees along the roads just to realize the project. This project compromise even the properties of man…maybe it brought a real life changing life to everyone but don’t you miss the green meadows…the scenery of mother nature? As for me I miss it…I have seen a lot of changes around they are good indeed but I am missing the panoramic view of nature
My dear readers how about you will you agree with me if I say “Mother nature was sacrificed when industrialization was introduce….” Its not bad really but I miss it badly.

I'm glad we still have a lot of nature in my province but it seems like "they" are slowly getting closer hayzz

Nice to see you, sis Sheila. It's not too late to preserve the Earth. Let's do our part while we're still here :)

yes bro....I am starting to have my life back again with steemit

Money vs. Nature. tsk

I remember when a big mining company set up their port for an international exporting of copper, they destroyed not just the mangroves but the large area of coral reefs. It happened in our place..Negros Occidental

Since I am a nature lover, I am against those foreign aggressors that are keeping to build industrialiZation but no choice. Poor people can benefit too. They can get a new job.

Hi sis nice to see you finally :D

well I guess it's part that we have to accept changes.

we cant deny the fact that this is really happening right now in our society, we want it or not this will happen. As the society grow, more buildings emerge.

It's sad for me to see rice fields and parks that are turned into building establishments. Industrialization is good but not to the extent of us losing all of those trees which gives us clean air and cold breeze at night.

Nice post. Let me just share you my take on this one based on my studies so far. In environmental policy and economics, your points mainly point out on the first phase of kuznets curve, in which the environment further degrades as industrialization rises. However, if the per capita level becomes high enough, then the affluence of the people would pressure the government to enforce stricter laws and better environmental policies.

Nice post! Thanks for sharing.

Industrialization is not that bad, unless it won't hurt Mother Nature. Sadly, the earth has been slowly destroyed by industrialization.
