Greatness is NOT Guaranteed

 

If you know even the slightest bit about me, you now that I began my journey of social freedom with concentrating on the old-school pick up game. 

 I'm not unhappy I did it. It was the long way around, but boy was it FUN. 

I know I helped a lot of people, but what I would to say everyone who would watch those videos now is “That's great but you have to be doing the work on yourself. You have to."  That one element which is the core teaching that I put out there was you have to get rid of your fear of rejection and I stand by that 100%. 

You have to get over your fear of rejection not just with women, EVERYTHING. Because life is tough and you're gonna get rejected. You're gonna get knocked down and you got to get back up again. I find that to be absolutely 100% beautiful.

I'm writing a book about it now which will be coming out soon and it’s about exactly that topic. If you’re running around like a chicken and just trying to get laid without any depth while thinking to yourself, “Why am I even doing this? Why can I not attract these women in the first place? Who am I that I have to be doing all this stuff and working so hard to get some attention from the ladies?”  Well you're someone who's not naturally attractive to ladies because you haven't done the work on yourself. 

So running around hitting on a hundred girls hoping to find one that's that is gonna settle for you is NOT a long-term solution my friend. 

James Marshall joins me on today's video and he's got great insight on how to get over yourself and get on the right path to greatness... 

"   Working on yourself is a long-term solution. I think there’s a certain narrative arc that we're looking at. Both James and I have done it in variations of each other and we know plenty of other guys like John Keegan and Liam McRae that have gone from a guy that was young and insecure and unformed and unaware of his power.  Then has gone through a journey to to actualize himself and it's not like that journeys ever really done.

But there's episodic arcs of growth and change that you go through in your life (or your diet). It's not that I don't think the hero's journey, is not a given.  Actually most people don't do it. The call is heard at some point saying “Do you want to come on this journey?” and people respond “I think I'll just stay in a little cubicle”. 

I don't really believe in manifest destiny. I don't believe that people are destined to go on to greatness. There's potential timelines of greatness and explosive growth that are in the field of singularity of possibilities. Many of them just don't ever happen. We’re at that timeline of reality that what could have happened just doesn't because people don't take the steps. I think it is kind of wired into us. I don't know on what level. Whether it's biological level or some other level.

It is part of the human condition to have this have this ability to go from an unformed novice to warrior, to some kind of mastery, to then some kind of king or wizard like position where you see it all. Where it all makes sense and the simplicity that's inherently under everything starts to come into into focus. 

Then the effort that you need to apply to make change in the world becomes much less. Things reach a point of ease and they don't stay there necessarily. What we're looking at here is a parallel of the Buddhist journey and with the men that we're teaching; which is that at the core they have inside them this beautiful human radiance. It's there. It's part of their birthright. At the same time it is covered up and unformed=. It's kind of forgotten. You've forgotten the the truth of yourself and so you have to go on this journey to realize that there's no place like home and you were there all along.    "
