The coordinator of the Civil Defense Association for Civil Rights, Rafael Narvaez, warned that the food crisis in the country has caused irreversible damage to the poorest sectors, so he urged the authorities to address this problem urgently.
In Venezuela there is a very dark picture when the right to food is violated, one of the most important in the world after the right to life and freedom. "A precarious diet in Venezuela is reflected in the crying and pain of mothers because their children have died of child malnutrition," he stressed Friday when he approaches December 10, the day of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Narváez blamed the government of Nicolás Maduro for "being blinded by his arrogance, malpractice and arrogance that does not allow him to seek effective solutions to reduce the number of victims due to the shortage of all kinds of supplies necessary for life." He also stressed that "when the stomach rings, it does not believe in meetings or dialogues so that very hard things can happen like another Caracazo, which I do not wish under any circumstances".
The lawyer regretted that Maduro does not apply the correct decisions to solve the crisis because of his "ideological pride".
