Lets first look at an electron and how that circles around the atom's core

Prof. Eric Laithwaite shows how a gyroscope travels in a precession orbit, this is how electrons swirl around the neucleus of an atom.

Keep in mind that this is still in the 2Dimensional plane and that electrons do this in 3Dimension, 4 actually as time is the movement in the 4th dimension
