Turkey is a strategic member of Nato and also a strategic partner of the USA due to the fact the USA has forces there and uses the above base. So why antagonise a supposed ally?.

As this war winds down, everyone wants to secure a piece of the pie, whether it is land, oil-wells or simply influence to keep Assad in a position of weakness. Syria (or at least its leadership) is one of those who would like to end the existence of Israel. Russia is allied with the Syrian government and keeps arming them. I don't really see how Israel is confused.
It is, however, stupid to keep arming the rebels in Syria. They are even worse than Assad in most cases (or at least in an indeterminate number of cases). The U.S. should stay out of it and it would be helpful if Russia did the same.

Run via Apartheid how? All citizens have the same legal rights. In fact, the vast majority of Arab citizens in Israel have no interest in becoming part of a Palestinian state. In Syria, you can only be president if you are Muslim. There is no such religious requirement for the leader of Israel. Syria used to have a very large Jewish population but most left due to persecution there.
I'm not saying I agree with every move Israel makes but I understand most of them given that the modern state of Israel has been under attack since it was born.
The modern state of Syria and the modern state of Israel were born around the same time. Both are in large part ultimately a result of the collapse of the Ottoman empire.
And like I already said. I don't think the U.S. should be involved, whatever the dollar amount.

I watched most of it but I'm not really sure of the point you are trying to make with it. All of this ultimately is the result of the 1967 war and the failure of subsequent peace agreements. I think the historical evidence is sufficient to suggest that if Israel exited all occupied territories tomorrow, there would still not be peace and Israel would be in a worse position to defend itself. I mean they started doing that a decade or so ago and pretty good progress was being made towards a peaceful solution. However, Hamas coming to power and repeated terror attacks really put a damper on that. I'm not saying that justifies everything Israel has ever done but it isn't reasonable to expect peace when extremists keep blowing shit up, even in the midst of positive actions towards a peaceful solution. Still not sure where Apartheid comes in.
