Usually, the Google image search tool "labeled for reuse" should do the trick. Quite often, it will show you images on pixabay.com.
In general: if you can't see a licence at an image, better not use it. The best pictures for usage are the ones with PD (Public Domain - no copyrights) or CC0 (Creative Commons licensed - the creator has set zero terms on their use). There are some others you can use, but this is usually explained next to them.

I don't think, you should remove it. Just change the pictures and it should be alright. Changing them is also for your own protection: some lawyers are specialized in suing copyright violations.

Well, I know, that I may seem narrow-minded, but I'm not satisfied with the referencing ;)
Just using "wikipedia.org" or another website with its main page is not proper referencing. I assume, you have used certain sources to write your article - just link the exact websites you've used.
