The history of US slavery/ why notion of reperations are stupid

in informationwar •  6 years ago  (edited)

Today I want to write about something different.

There is a massive public misconception about our countries founding. Much of which stems from the issue of slavery.

In recent years individuals have taken down statues, due to this notion "he was a slave master."

Below is a quote that was actually intended to be the last part of the Declaration of Independance:

“He has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating [capturing] and carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere; or, to incur [suffer] miserable death in their transportation thither.

This piratical warfare, the opprobrium
[contempt] of infidel powers, is the warfare of the Christian King of Great Britain. Determined
to keep open a market where MEN should be bought and sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or to restrain this execrable [repulsive]
commerce; and, that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is
now exciting those very people to rise in arms among us; and, to purchase that liberty of which
he has deprived them, by murdering the people upon whom he also obtruded them; thus paying
off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people with crimes which he urges them to commit against the lives of another.”

You see, before we became a country. Law existed. This is how Native American tribes also conducted themselves.

For their system slave masters had rights, yet so did slaves. In a "court," slave's could challenge their masters and seek emancipation. This was via "Code Noire".

Slave Masters did not consist of one race

In colonial America, slaves consisted of :
African Americans
Native Americans
English Settlers

And Slave Masters consisted of the same. Everything was interchangeable.

Yet there is this untrue notion, that only one race was enslaved. African Americans that where brought here by the Spanish, Dutch and French actually pre-date early English colonists.

Even early settlers became slaves of African Americans and Native Americans.. so what's the deal?

Slavery Today

Today slavery still exists. Every slave is issued a number, and through this number they forfeit much of their income. The only difference the Slave Masters Face is hidden from us. Slave Master is blind and equally hates all races.

Hatred:

the degradation of dignified moral conduct

Slave master educates your children so that theyre decieved, tends to the infirm, giving you rights - only to take them back, giving you the slave a false pretense of freedom.

There is very little recourse to take against the slave masters of today. Very little.

It puzzles me how one derives reperations to African Americans as necessary. If anything, we shouldve been more concerned with Native Americans who naturally inhabited the land.

But alas, all this is due to the slave master behind the curtain..."dont perceive you're a slave... you're free." "Early settlers where evil and Natives where primitive." All are taught(indoctrinate) to children so they do not percieve they too are slaves.

Me? I'm just a man searchin for some freedom...
Searchin for some freedom..
So I intend to sing them
