Talks are always behind the closed doors, and there starts pressure to the representatives. Some of them will be susceptible to corruption, other to intimidation… or both. And after a longer period of “negotiations”, when all the anger dwindle, they come out before the unsatisfied remains of the mass, and say: “That’s the best we could negotiate. Take it or leave it!”

Well, this time Yellow Vests demanded that negotiations are conducted publicly. So, the government had to pull another trick: SUSPENDING a hike in fuel prices for 6 months, instead of revoking it. That means, they hope they will sail through the EU parliamentary elections, and then impose a hike quietly, when nobody is watching the 6-month deadline expiring…
