Good morning @akashas. Another very interesting post!
"I like many topics, you can say I'm versatile, I rarely write about politics, although I often talk to others about it."
Yes, conventional wisdom says we should not talk about politics or religion. Precisely why I enjoy talking about both of them! 😉
"The reason the population hates politicians and distrusts them is because they often use those words to lie, manipulate and deceive their constituents. 99 percent of politicians break their word."
Yes, but it becomes worse quickly, when we humbly acknowledge we may all "break our word" at times. Unintentionally, but we are not perfect.
But politicians? Unintentional? Almost certainly never the case, as it is all premeditated ... And "we the people" all too often, do nothing about it, so surprise, surprise. We are "treated" to more of it, as it "works" ...
What our country (any country, for that matter ...) needs is statesmen, not politicians. Who "do the right thing," in spite of opposition, as they are focused on the next generation vs. the next election ...
Instead, we have allowed the creation of a more or less "permanent" ruling class who are largely, far too often "above the law" they are sworn to uphold ...
In my "old life," I was a local political leader for 6 years. I gave it up (when Bill Clinton was elected President in 1992), to focus on more profitable activities, when I experienced firsthand how little my fellow countrymen were prepared to do to preserve their liberty ...
Upvoted. Keep posting @akashas! 👍
P.S. Still hoping to hear the story behind the "Heart of Alaska" image, at some point ... 😊
I like you my dear steemian.
Wow you worked years and years in this?!?!
Respect that you are such an open mind!
Glad to meet you here!
The story behind “heart of Akasha” is easy!
I am an heartfully being and like the big liberty of the akasha....my heart is beating for the universal truth and because of the ways in my life and small moments which made big changes and things I decided to call myself Akashas and my old webpage (now it doesn’t exist anymore) heart of akasha
Hugs to ya

On vacation and "dropping in" as time allows, just a quick note to thank you for your kind words @akashas.
I appreciate the passion with which you write, as well as the effort. I know you are not writing these posts in a few minutes, but are putting "heart and soul" into them ...
Perhaps I will be able to comment more in the future, as time (never enough of it ...) allows.
All the best to you @akashas. Until our paths cross again, keep posting!!
