why would the republic of the united states of AMERICA
mess with the internal matter of PRC?
USA may have a longer recorded history than PRC...
but that's it.
and some seems to have forgotten it :)
if they had been more naive maybe they could have seen that what they believe to be china powers, was only one claw of the dragon, and who knows how far the dragon goes...
