Anger: Used as an Informationwar Weapon

in informationwar •  7 years ago

PC warriors, SJWs, Shock Personalities, Rage Merchants, Race Baiters, Twitter Blue Checkmark Leftists, etc are constantly saying they are offended, but are they really??? I got news for ya.... They aren't.

They pretend to be offended and use "anger" in order to WIN, something that works as a strategy. Anger is used in a different way than comedy(comedy disarms you in a happy way), obviously more abusive and rude, but nonetheless is used to overpower weaker individuals/shock you into confronting an angry person. Most people don't want to confront angry people because they are followers, while leaders and more independent thinking people have no issue getting into an arguement with others(trolls and online warriors actually have fun doing so, myself included).

The Simpsons creator talks about the recent "controversy" and says people pretend to be offended at things. He is entirely correct, in that a lot of our current Mainstream culture has been shoving down our throats that anyone not voting democrat is a racist/sexist/homophone/islamophobe/bigot/etc(which are all Anger based labels). We live in a society(yes I am using that "we live in a society meme" heh) where people are awarded a type of social currency for their actions/beliefs. The world at large has a current atmosphere being that if you are a conservative/libertarian/anarchist/free thinker that you are in the wrong and must be controlled. Thoughts and opinions not going with the MSMflow or some hardcore leftist "everthing should be free" mentality is seen as bigoted and racist ,despite the misuse of those words they still hold some power currently(eventually they will lose most of their power).

One of the best ways to counter this is to see it for what it is, which is utilizing anger to essentially take advantage of "might = right". Because when someone is really angry and using anger as a weapon it makes them appear mighty and powerful. People who show love and kindness are seen as weak by people who employ anger as a weapon in the Informationwar. Loving/kind people who have a high degree of openness value relationships and not rocking the boat, so it can be extremely hard for them to fight back against a lot of the Anger Groupthink currently going on.

Anger can be used to combat anger of course, but in general it is harder to convince people you are right if both sides are shouting eachother down. I strongly believe and see the benefits of things like the #memewar, in which we use comedy to tell truth and highlight the absurdity of authoritarian control. Embrace comedy and trolling in order to counter Angry Lies. Remember, we are telling the truth and having a good time doing it, authoritarians are using code words, angry words, angry labels, lies, and power to get their way(it is what authoritarians do, control everything).

Sort Order:

They not only pretend to be offended, they also pretend, and to a greater extent, know what they are talking about.

It is very common for them to lose the thread of the conversation, and then they just start spitting insults.

Haha, good points, @vieira!

You're right. I wrote something similar yesterday. I basically just ignore leftists who play the defamation card and move on to those who actually want to have real conversations

In a war of hate, numbers win. Who can shout loudest? Who can force the other side to retreat? The mightiest.
