I don't really remember who invited me to Initiative Q initially but it seems like an interesting project. It reminds me a lot more of Stellar compared to existing cryptocurrencies but limited to invite only thus word of mouth.
There is not much to say about this project other than the short descriptions that you can find on their page, one interesting thing I liked about it that doesn't exist in cryptocurrencies today is reversibility and dispute arbitration. This is something that has existed in current centralized payment gateways such as paypal and there's been a lot of abuse with "chargebacks" and payment disputes - it will be interesting to see how Initiative Q will handle that in their model.
Signing up to Initiative Q is quite simple and it let's you do so through many alternatives such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Gmail.
After clicking on the invite link the referrer, being me in this case will have to accept your invite and then you can start inviting other people in your circles in the same way and earn some Qs for it.
It is not certain when the currency will launch nor how much it will be worth at the time, their "target value" of $1 is quite far fetched. Since its quite easy to sign up and just forget about it til you hear about it again there is nothing to lose though and one of the biggest reasons I decided to try it out is to not regret later not having done it. One thing crypto projects have taught me in the past is not having spent the short amount of time or low value to "get in on it".
Initiative Q is building a new payment network and giving away significant sums of their future currency to early adopters. It’s by invite only and I have a limited number of invites. My personal invite link: https://initiativeq.com/invite/B80rU4oV7
