..
Good day to Steemians everywhere, this is your favourite trail show brought to you by Steem Trail and @ogochukwu, The Inkpot, our guest for this week is the amazing @meesterboom . This is the second part of the interview, you can read the first part here
...

...

Ogochukwu: What is your favourite under appreciated work of art ?

Meesterboom: I have a skyscape of Glasgow by David Kerr on my wall. Its fab. No one knows who he is. He sells his stuff in odd places and lots of it is great.

Ogochukwu: You are also a food blogger, how did your journey through the kitchen start?

Meesterboom: With Chillies!! Heat, Spice and fire!! I am obsessed with chillies. I rarely eat anything without them. I come from a family where no-one could cook. So for me I had to learn from scratch all by myself. I have made some fantastic things and some diabolical things. I think I am quite a good cook though :O)

Ogochukwu: What way do you think is the best way to Market Steem/Steemit?

Meesterboom: I think we should all take some responsibility. Whether that be by telling others about steemit or posting our work on other sites such as twitter. There are many ways. I think the Steemit dudes have the right idea with the crowdsourcing idea although I would like to see some mainstream campaign of some kind.

Not in steemit itself but on other sites. I think also when the app is complete there should be some big push on it

Ogochukwu: Have you read anything that made you think differently about art?

Meesterboom: No, I mostly read Sci Fi and Fantasy and those books just make me imagine I am not confined to this harsh empty shell of a world

Ogochukwu: What is the first book that made you cry?

Meesterboom: No book has ever touched that blackened coal of a heart of mine in that way. If one had I would burn it. I would burn it and never tell anyone. Never.

Ask me if I have ever burnt a book

Ogochukwu: Did you have any form of online presence before steemit

Meesterboom: Nah. I had the usual shitey social media accounts. I also wrote some 'witty' reviews on amazon that seemed to be popular. So popular in fact that I started getting sent free stuff. It was all tat though. I started to make the reviews a bit more satirical and they soon stopped sending me anything, Except bitterness.

Ogochukwu: What Other Apps would you like to see on the Steem Blockchain?

Meesterboom: I only want to see one and that is a Steemit branded slick and easy to use app that has been well tested for bugs that any old joe could use and marvel at its beauty and simplicity.

Oh yeah and Steepshot will be good once its ironed out a few kinks

Ogochukwu: What is your Advice for New Steemians who just joined the community?

Meesterboom: I have said this many times on many posts and replies to new chaps. Engage. Be social. Write regularly, vote and comment on other peoples work. Do not just shit post then rage when the millions dont come flying in. It takes work, but if you put the effort in you will get rewarded and that doesnt always mean monetarily.

Ogochukwu: Before Steem where you involved with crypto-currencies

Meesterboom: Pfft, I say pfft because I don't know how to type a farting noise. No, not at all. The only thing I had ever heard of was Bitcoin. I had no idea there was more than that. Now I do though. Now I am crypto man. Cut me and I bleed crypto! Well, first I bleed steemit then I bleed a wee bit of crypto.

Ogochukwu: As an artist what is your best advice for handling criticism?

Meesterboom: I ain't really an artist but in life I have found that the best way to deal with criticism is of course to find said criticizers and beat them soundly, at least until they squeal, preferably with a stout piece of wood. I myself carry a silver topped cane for this very purpose.

Why why, why did not ask if mrboom ever burnt a book?
Nice interview, well presented and well answered.
Great to know you a little bit more mrboom!

Cheers! I am probably not the best interviewee but I enjoyed it!

Have you ever burnt a book?

Hahaha, never!! ;0)

Finally, I can go to sleep now... :-)

Goodnight! :0D

meesterboom and I go way back. I'm talking before 900 dollar grilled cheese.

Ah, them were the days!! I will never forget the grilled cheese :0) the steemian food network as well. Top times

You've always been a character my friend! But I've noticed that your writing has improved vastly.

Lol, it has improved. I think I am writing more and it is all the practice!

@meesterboom is far too manly to cry over books, each morning he awakes and pounds his mighty boom chest, you can hear its resounding masculine echoes across the seas.

nice

Thanks for the interview. I always enjoy @meesterboom and will now adopt his approach to dealing with criticism. Comment and up-vote accordingly.

Get that silver topped cane! Works a treat! :O)

meep

Ah, my delightful friend. I thought our love perished, that you had forsaken me.

meep

You tease, it reminds me of the time you wore that gauzy dress and asked me to dance the way we did in Vienna

meep

Well yes, dancing is one way to put it

Great interview!

Just the kind of humor that I really enjoy! Resteemed!

So joyed to meet mr @meesterboom. Very nice to view a portion of the artists perspective, which included some sound advice, coupled with the mysteriousness of his book burning habits.
A cryptoman and critic adjuster, @meesterboom revealed his astute awareness of precious metals having a silver topped cane. An all in one, 'real' and cool artistic fellow steemian.
Thank you for this interview. :-)

Haha, Cheers man. I like the idea of being a cryptoman!!

Not in steemit itself but on other sites.

YES. Preach, brother-man. Preach! I can't even imagine what goes on in the head of people who advertise about Steemit on Steemit. That's why the platform has been ridiculed on other sites for circlejerking. I mean, sure, I get the humorous takes and the different spin explainers--those certainly have a place here. But, for the straight-laced explanation? Nuh uh, no sir. People are just milking the platform hoping to get paid for posting something that has been posted before by people who are more knowledgeable about it. They think just because "STEEM" is in the post they should be rolling in it.

So popular in fact that I started getting sent free stuff

I did not know this. That's awesome! Rather, was. I wish I received free stuff for leaving reviews. Just goes to show the vibrant spin you put into your thoughts, dude. Have I ever told you that your words are gold? I didn't know that you've cashed in on it way before Steeming it up here haha!

Awesome look at the mind of boom. @meesterboom was such a great pick for this!

BTW, @ogochukwu what font did you use for the "A Chat with Meesterboom" banner?

Oh man, I really wouldn't go so far at to say I cashed in. I got sent the oddest of items to review! I will try and dig one out lol. Yeah I am not a big fan of the scraped articles approach whee someone just regurgitate something from elsewhere on the web. I mean it's not their knowledge or anything?

That's such a cool thing to put on a resume: Product Reviewer. I bet that would make a fantastic post, dude! :D

Exactly! Not their expertise, they just want to cash in with minimal effort. Man, if only the flag policy extended to that... Reds everywhere.

I completely agree. I aint really a flagger but have been tempted sometimes when I see something that is patently just a re-write!

Lol, I only wish the products were better. Other people got cameras and stuff. Me, I got so much tat. knee supports, lanyards? Hand squeezers, the list was dreary as anything

I'm pretty peeved at those people. I just wish the bots that vote for them recognize it so that they won't graciously hand out precious STEEM to the undeserving haha!

Lanyards? Who needs a review for lanyards?? hahaha! Too funny, dude! You could've certainly used a spare camera that you could've thrown to a certain albino komodo haha!

Hello @jedau

Thanks for reading and dropping your thoughts.

The font is Montserrat

Ah! I knew it haha That's why it looked so familiar. I have that on my computer as well. Thanks!

I have been told that lots of spicy stuff is used to disguise the foul taste of things...are you certain you are a good cook, hm @meesterboom? Haha, I kid, I may have stopped ruining my shirts with sputtered liquid laughter, but I now I have to be careful about the drool your foodie posts inspire ;)

Haha, perhaps once a long time ago I dressed up my poor cooking with chilli. But many years later I can even con a passable dish without it!! Haha, maybe :0D
