Brain skills to change the world

in innovation •  7 years ago

Hi Steemers,

I am reading and thinking and reading more about what is necessary to go from creative skills to world change.

I have realised that you need a minimal set of skill level in any domain in order to create something of value. That level of skill may vary in each domain and the expected contribution. Never mind, there is a Minimal Creative Skill level you need to achieve. That is, you need to LEARN.

The more domains you master, the more crossover ideas, thus originality in your ideas. That means, LEARN MORE in different domains.

To make the most of you learning time, there are certain skills that will contribute, what I call Brain Skills: memorization, speed reading, mind mapping, visual communication, the list can go on.

But Ideas alone will not change the world. You need some action, make use of ideas, apply them. Then you have true innovation and change.

I have summarised this in this diagram:

My assertions sound like opinions, but they are my distilled summary of what I have been reading latelly on the topic. And the diagram is by all means incomplete. I would like it to serve as an icebreaker and prompt some conversation with other steemers so, please share your thoughts.

Do you disagree?, do you miss elements in the argument or the diagram?
