Every one of us is an owner of a remarkable unspoken idea, but so many spectacular ideas get buried along with the minds that hold them in the cemetery. A wise Arabic thinker was asked, “what is the wealthiest place?” And he replied, “the graveyard”. A quote attributed to Les Brown takes it further:
“The graveyard is the richest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take the first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream”
I google-searched this phrase Idea Sharing Quotes. I was greeted with a substantial volume of search results and was awestruck by the importance of idea sharing, and with the volume of quotes attributed to prominent people that have made it in life. Good people like Les brown I mentioned already; George Bernard Shaw, who said,
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples, then you and I will still have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas”
and Eleanor Roosevelt, who said,
“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people”.
To get an idea come into existence, a necessary catalyst to making that happen is sharing it and discussing it with the right people. People that are smarter than you most often. They could be a certified engineer, a seasoned entrepreneur, a smart computer wizard or a professional scientist or an economist.
Or, that person with no formal education on the street, that the society may look down upon, but has that single missing piece of the puzzle that perfectly fits.
What if all these people were brought under one single roof, provided with a serene atmosphere, engaging with one another socially and getting into constructive conversations, arranging those pieces of the puzzle, and collectively coming up with a gigantic idea that would solve a problem and make the world a better place for ourselves and our children?
What makes Ideas Die Suddenly Before Effectually Manifesting
-Missing Audience; no one to give you a listening ear
-Immature thoughts; you might just get a tiny fraction of the whole idea and that’s it, and you may not want to present an incomplete thought
-You have no skillset required to turn the idea into reality
-You have no money or necessary funding to actualize your idea
-You have no idea of choosing and getting the right team your idea needs to materialize
-You have no idea where to access a professional consultation to help you along; you have no idea how to reach for help
FROM X TO INFINITY (Xto8) project
A first and one-of-its-kind platform is now in the making to solve all the obstacles that deter or prevent people of all backgrounds and level of knowledge from sharing their ideas, coming together, fusing their thoughts in one place, coming up with a solid creation of their ideas and bringing out easier solutions to our problems, thereby generating more wealth and making the world better than it was yesterday.
“You’re a piece of the puzzle of someone else’s life. You may never know where you fit, but others will fill their lives with pieces of you “ — Bonnie Arbon
The Xto8 platform is currently in the making as I have already pointed out, and it’s hoped the Beta version will be up towards the end of this November. It will be a community housing people of a wide variety of skills, experience and expertise. A typical platform of choice for innovators.
How Xto8 Makes It Possible
Here is a glimpse of what it is going to look like when getting your ideas out there using Xto8 platform.
A user with a glimpse of an idea in their mind chooses to share the idea with the community in the Xto8 platform either as an ‘open Idea’ or a ‘Stealth Idea’. In the former, the idea is publicly shared and is open to suggestions from everyone that has an interest with helping with a suggestion. Several tools would be in place to niche an idea owner to the most suitable audience.
There are some instances when you feel a little like Nikola Tesla. You want to keep all your ideas to yourself but you need a little assistance explicitly from professionals. So you choose to share only a fragment of the whole picture and conceal the sensitive part to yourself. When a specialist, verified by the Xto8 platform using various credentials verification tools, sees the stealth idea and has an interest in helping would ‘Request to View’ that idea. The idea owner would be prompted to either ‘accept’ or ‘reject’ the offer after seeing the credentials of the offeror. In that way, the idea owner is niched to suitable contributors.
“What it takes to change the world is a thought — an idea. What it takes to nurture an idea is a platform — xto8”
— Founder of Xto8
The Xto8 takes it further in:
-idea mentoring
-team-building (including finding co-founders to your project, skilled developers, designers and community managers)
-fund-raising and
-marketing
