How to present yourself during a job interview?

The first thing recruiters ask of candidates in a job interview is to introduce themselves briefly. And this "introductory phase" is essential. Everything is often played at this moment, during the first 2 or 3 minutes. You do not need to break up. Worse, to search for your words or stammer. This is not a trap question. Provided you are prepared.

□Be natural
To avoid "missing" your presentation, treat it. What do you expect from recruiters? A person sure of her, a clear voice, a concise speech. To prepare, throw two or three days before the interview your ideas on a sheet of paper and then develop them out loud, several times. Stand in front of a mirror, straight, and try to look dynamic. And for good reason, remember: the first impression is often the one we remember. So no question of being stiff, fixed ... Attention, prepare does not mean learning by heart. If you give the feeling of reciting your text, you will lack naturalness and it will pass to the eyes of the recruiter for a lack of confidence in you. Look at the recruiter in the eye. And start. The speech must go out alone.

□Take a self-portrait
This is not about developing your resume. No, the recruiter waits for you to expose your skills, motivations and deliver your career in several stages. So, do not scatter. Sort through and eliminate your experiences that do not fit the job profile.

□At this stage of the interview, do not talk about yourself. It's all about your professional achievements. Not your qualities and your faults. At the end of your speech, your interlocutor must think that he was right to make you come and must want to know more.

□Do not overdo it
Young graduates often fall into the trap: to appear to be the best, they do too much and annoy the recruiter.

□Who am I, where do I come from and where am I going?
To prepare, you must ask yourself these 3 questions. They will help you refocus your speech on what is really important. To help you, here is a list of the elements to communicate to the recruiter:

Your name and surname
Your age
Your personal situation
A summary of your training
Some details on your beginnings in the active life
Your most important professional experiences
Your current position
The reason you responded to this ad
What you can bring to the company
Project yourself in the position you covet.

Many candidates focused on their past experiences forget to conclude on the reasons that led them to apply. It is important to stop for a moment on this point because, what does the recruiter want to know? If you have the qualifications for the position and if you can bring a plus to the company. If he feels that way, he will try to find out more.
