This One Question Could Change Everything For You...

I'm a huge fan of questions.

Why?

Because questions induce answers.

And if we looked at this more linguistically...

The word question can be broken down to "quest-ion"...

Or more specifically, the words "quest" and "ion."

A quest is defined as a "search for something."

An ion is defined as "an atom or molecule with a net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons."

Or more simply put, an ion is the movement that exists within us that makes up the fabric of our very existence...

Lets take a step back real quick...

Because the intention of this post is not to pick apart words and apply meaning to them.

Instead, it's actually about creating meaning for yourself.

I bring up the concept of a question or quest-ion simply because of this mere fact:

Questions lead to the search and movement towards understanding more of who we are.

Ask the right question and you could open up a world of possibilities...

Thus, I have a question for you...

The purpose of this question is to call forth a wonderful and profound part of your being that is ready to move.

If you were to inspire something wonderful and profound into your life right now, would you like that?

If your answer is yes, then take a deep breath right now.

Sit back, relax your eyes, and allow this question to merge with your mind.

Are you ready?

Here it comes...

What decision could you make right now, that would wonderfully and profoundly transform your life?

Think about that for a moment...

Tune into it.

Re-read it once more.

Really, search your mind for an answer right now.

Can you connect to that something?

Can you see it, feel it, and / or hear what that is?

This is what I connected to...

I'm realizing in this moment that laying down, closing my eyes, and tuning into myself would wonderfully and profoundly transform my life right now. I've been feeling a bit heady and over-caffeinated this morning. I'm realizing a need to slow down, bring myself back, and reconnect to my inner elements.

What did you connect to?

Feel free to let us all know by sharing in the comments below.

I want to know where your wonderful, profound self will go next!

I really like this post. I got into it so much.
Well, my answer is that I want to stop being so anxious about loneliness and being alone...Want to stop to live in this horrible fear to lose friends and be forced to be lonely forever. :)
I 'll try hard, today I started to do my research how to heal :)

good luck! tell us how it was! Consciously, I would say on a rational side that the fear of loneliness is absurd as we are born and die alone, so why to have fear about it? Bun on a deep deep subconscious level, once I went to a very powerful inner journey and there it was my biggest fear from y life - the fear of solitude. So i feel you! Share with us your healing process :)

Of course I will :) Thanks, it's always nice to hear that somebody feels you :)

Awesome to hear you are researching how to heal! So I have a follow up question for you @dreamdiary. You've listed a lot of what you don't want (anxiety, loneliness, being alone). Those are all things you're wanting to get away from... what is that you do want - what do you want to go towards? And if that is healing, what does that look, sound, and/feel like for you?

It kind of makes sense that the idea of being alone is such a prevalent fear. I think that's because it's so far from the truth. We are all interconnected and operating from the same source. We stem from the same root and breath in life from the same air. Ultimately, we are living this experience together, not alone, and when it feels alone... that's when we know that there's a part of ourselves that we are cutting off... or said in another way... love that we're not fully letting in.

I want to heal...which 'd be: accepting myself and our natural state of being alone as normal, use my time alone as a gift just for me, do cool things in that time. I immagine it in a hygge cozy peace, with my book, some music and good coffee. Just me and feeling amazing. :)

I love feeling cozy too, especially when I'm by myself. I think that's a beautiful vision! Remember that intention when you're feeling lonely. It will help remind you that all is very well :)

What decision could anyone make right now that would definitely change everything? To honor the Infinite that is within them (within each of us) and ask it to take over, to not just guide and provide hints, but to BE the self that shows up every moment of every day. It's a new muscle to develop for most, but worth it!

Ah I love this one! And this really hit it:

to not just guide and provide hints, but to BE the self that shows up every moment of every day.

Yesss and you are very right. It's a muscle that you must work. Letting go isn't what we're used to and certainly not what we're told to do.

Thus far I've found the essence of life to be incredibly helpful, when you let it.

Thank you @highfrequencies :)

Me too! (the letting it bit).

Less Anger!
Instant answer :) I couldn't add anything else on this answer!

I love how you split the words! I also love to do it!!! To look at the root of the word to understand it better. This etymology thing helps me a lot to get the meaning :) xx

@purplemoon, if you could get more of something (as opposed to less of something i.e. anger) what would you choose to have more of?

To get off my butt and stop lounging around today! (lazy sunday.. which is not an excuse) Be productive and get stuff done! :D

I hope you got your schtuff done! I'm also a sunday-a-holic ;-)

You wrote above, "An ion is defined as 'an atom or molecule with a net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons.'" I imagine it will interest you to know (and support your thesis even further) that the word "ion" derives from the Greek "ienai," which itself simply means "go."

Very cool! I was not aware of that. Considering that I am Greek, I should have probably known that... but I do now, and that's what matters. I appreciate this awesome recognition! Thank you for sharing @riotdog!

Choose to organize my time in a better way. At the moment I just seem to flail about and get to the end of the day wondering what/if anything that I accomplished that day. I am not used to having a schedule, but since my time is SO much more free now (that my kids are grown), I really need to find a balance between structure and listening to my inspiration when it strikes.

So I guess finding my new balance would be my answer.

Heard that! I constantly struggle with that but I've gotten much better. My best strategy thus far is asking the question, "If I could feel really great about what I've accomplished today, what would I have gotten done." Then I just focus on doing the things that pop up ;-)

OOOOH, that IS a great question. I need to start the habit of asking myself more questions instead of trying to pull answers out of the void without even knowing what I'm asking in the first place! I really need to focus on these things more. Thank you for the suggestion!

I like how you communicate with your readers on your post.

My answer wasn't anything huge. My decision was pretty simple: to try and get up as early as I can everyday. This way, I'll have extra time to do things that have stayed undone for a while haha.

I personally think that the daily, mundane decisions are ultimately the most impactful. Thus that does sound huge to me! Maybe my virgo self is biased, but nonetheless, the method to our madness is the framework to our habitual nature.

Thanks for acknowledging that communication aspect @cabernet. I appreciate that. It's always my intent to spark a dialogue. I'm working to get better and better at that each day :)

For me personally, the meaning of life is the pursuit of new information, more specifically information that acts as a stepping stone for my own personal development. The purpose of my development? To aid in the development of those around me, no matter how small the scale. I am but a cog in the mechanism. One in a sea of millions. How can I make a difference? Well, because I am one in a sea of millions. No one can be me. It is my duty to bring to the world what no one else can. And there is no one else qualified to decide what that should be. The fact that there is no meaning to life is exactly why our lives can have so much meaning.

To actually answer your question: I'm going to go to school for massage therapy, and provide that therapy pro bono to people who need it the most.

Beautiful words here @flaccidfervor.

I really enjoyed this:

The fact that there is no meaning to life is exactly why our lives can have so much meaning.

I think you're dead on there. We are the meaning makers living in a framework that provides space for that. We get to chose what this reality is for us.

I think it's phenomenal that you're going into massage therapy for that reason. In my opinion, crypto could heavily support that prerogative in the very near future.

What drew me the most to steemit is the whole gifting dynamic. The more you give, the more giving power you are given! The same has been true in my life, as the more I give away freely, the more I just seem to have. It also helps that through empathy, I receive as much joy as the recipient, so my altruism never feels like a sacrifice.

Yes so true! I've been seeing a future where you actually get paid to educate yourself... or to heal... or to improve yourself in some way. Steemit is a great prototype of what that could look like. I also love how this is all based in abundance and inversely proportionate to the system that we were brought up in.
