To such as these! Kids and their brilliant spirit of openness, acceptance, and honesty.

The quote in the graphic above is true, just so you know.

I just got done watching a video over on Facebook that I thought was worth a share, and which inspired me to share some thoughts on what it means to have a “childlike spirit.”

Mainstream culture these days, especially in America, pretends to be so “scandalized” by, well, almost anything and everything.

Kids are, by their very nature, an individualist antidote to, and rebellion against, this atmosphere of fear, excuses, blame, and hatred. This does not mean that I view children as having some obligation to serve this revolutionary purpose, but only that, where society is full of bullshit and lies, truth tellers, just be their very being, are by default revolutionaries for the benefit of the human condition in general.

Just check out this video below, of conjoined twins who are becoming elementary school teachers. Put these two in a room full of “civilized” adults, and you’d likely get a mix of overzealous feigned “acceptance” and extreme timidity with a lack of real and honest questions.

It would take a while for adults to feel comfortable enough to be real, as the mainstream media, politics, and culture in general have trained the us that to ask questions is rude, and that if you ask the “wrong” questions, you may even be a hateful bigot.

Here’s the vid:

I’d also like to share one more video in this vein. This one of a black man who had the courage to confront the Ku Klux Klan. Not by calling them “stupid crackers” or protesting, calling for more political violence against those of differing convictions and opinion, but simply by “becoming a child” in a state of non-judgment, and asking questions.

The results speak for themselves.

Here’s the second vid:

Fantastic, right? The more things we find we have in common, and the more we can connect, the less the differences matter.

Thanks .. really beautiful We have to be ethical to get rid of hypocrisy in our relationships

Kids don't focus on the trivial things adults tend to focus on and generally are quite fearless. It changes with the indoctrination of the government training camps (schools).
Government planned curriculums are designed to dumb down as well as divided and conquer, putting people into little camps while teaching the children that winning doesn't matter, taking part does.
Well winning does matter, without out winners everyone is a loser, right!?
The worst case scenario for TPTB is an educated, creative, free thinking, enlightened populace with a childlike inquisitive demeanour, if that was the case the system couldn't function. Hatred of others is subtly educated into children either by their own brainwashed parents, TV, and schools.
The trick used is to highlight our differences rather than our similarities to keep us divided, standard Hegelian dialectic tactics of divide and conquer.
We need to turn this around, it'll be a better world if we do.
Apologies for the rambling reply.

I think as we slowly grow up, most of us forget the importance of having fun, because it looks "childish". A lot of people call me childish because of the way I act. But hey, I'm having fun in this life and I'm very happy, so why should I care? 😁

Totally agree. Good on ya!

Buoyed up by this post!
I studied as a Montessori teacher and I remember Montessori says in her book "Education for a New World" she says that in one generation of children left to be as children naturally are, and not diverted and distorted from their paths, they would create a new world of humanity. She is right in believing that they know their paths and all they need is the assistance they ask for. Children are profoundly moral when they are treated with kindness and respect and trusted to know what they need.

{Now, Montessori's philosophies are sound ... the way they are sometimes implemented is not always.}

Children are profoundly moral when they are treated with kindness and respect and trusted to know what they need.

So true. I am buoyed up by this! Thanks.

💪🏻

Montessori teaching is what led me to unschool with my children!

Every board meeting should hire an advising "kids table" ;-) Thanks for the great message!

I was really touched and inspired by the first video you shared....the co-joined twins even with their condition could become teachers..this is awesome!!!...everybody can be something great in life if they take a step to.

Wow amazing videos really. Thanks for sharing this with us. It is great to see that people can accept each other no matter the differences. I hope more people pick up those examples. God Bless. Peace.

I've seen the conjoined twins for years. They are a marvel of making the best out of a difficult situation.

Why not ? Good perception ! Good post

Human beings are the mixture of bad and good qualities,if we really need to learn and live beautiful way, we should wear the special spectacle from which we can see our own soul. Thanks for sharing such a valuable lesson to the people of the very behavior of people.

A miracle

Thank you for spreading the type of messages that will not only @makesteemitgreat-again, but also create a more tolerant and harmonious type of society we can all be proud of :) There are some interesting challenges in many of the 'civilized' western economies that need to be tackled in a much better way, through better education and less political correctness...

The children should be the leaders... then the world would make sense.

Instead of the deranged jack-asses that consider themselves "in charge"
