God’s Word Today:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 NCV
There is a time for everything, and everything on earth has its special season.
Thoughts to Ponder:
Why do we get easily frustrated in life?
Because there are things we cannot simply control.
The burden of our inability to get a perceived outcome is too much for us.
One factor influencing this frustration is our own timetable.
Most of us measure our life’s successes and failures through achieving goals in an expected period we’ve set.
As we go through life, we become irritated by not reaching a certain mark because we believe “it should happen by now.”
God’s Word reminds us the we have to set in our minds and hearts that not all outcomes in life are to be forcefully completed in a certain time.
There are instances in when we have to accept – not all things will come to pass in our lifetime.
We should also learn that there will always be highs and lows. And this cycle of disappointments and victories will continue until Christ’s return.
In knowing these and in accepting, we’ll finally appreciate this life for what it is.
We then focus beyond the highs and lows, and see a wonderful future ahead.
A future when our Lord will come to make all things new forevermore!
Dear Father,
Thank you for this reminder.
Our frustrations about the cycle of life brings us down, but through Your words of hope we can stand up and continue.
Take control of our thoughts and our lives.
Help us to focus of the life that is to come.
A life where You make all things new.
