Inspired by the holy spirit: The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them. John 14:21

The gospel of John relates that many disciples of Jesus did not understand his teachings because they had not yet received the spirit of wisdom, that is, the holy spirit. And this is so because it is understood that there is an intermediate state between good and evil dominated by emotions; in the gospels, this state of the soul that has not reached the fullness of goodness and wisdom is identified with the love of friendship or en greek words "philia".
In the New Testament the Holy Spirit is in charge of giving the gifts of wisdom, understanding, and spiritual discernment to men. The truth as such is elusive for the mind and cannot be achieved by human efforts. This is why Jesus, when he taught about the commandment of love, also spoke of the paraclete, and of the third time that would come with him, after the departure of the "Son."
The commandment of love and the action of the Holy Spirit are intimately united in the Christian revelation, because wisdom and the love projected towards the whole creation of God (Agape) are not common virtues like justice but perfections from above. The doctrine of the Kingdom of God, the empire or dominion of divine perfections, although its goal is to teach how to achieve the full resemblance to God and the contemplative life, is not simply a philosophical doctrine, but includes the deepest spiritual mysteries.
With these words, Jesus, inspired from above, spoke to the disciples about the true life, the contemplative life, the spiritual love, and the spirit of wisdom:
"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them" John 14:18-21.
