For many today, there's some sense of disappointment:
The Tailor didn't meet the deadline...
That money never dropped...
I couldn't get the desired color of that shoe...
The hairdresser messed up my hair...
My phone got stolen in the market yesterday...
The tomato was not enough (or it poured 😉)...
The meat burnt beyond remedy...
Couldn't go on that trip...
Couldn't even fuel my car...
This town is dry...
This Christmas is boring...
This federal government sef!!
So many things just not right this Christmas!
Well, it might interest you to know that on that first Christmas:
She was heavily pregnant and out of wedlock!
The "federal government" chose this time to call for a census!
You know what it's like travelling with a pregnant lady!
Then labor pains picked the wrongest time to start!
There wasn't even any room for her in any inn...
Imagine the stench of animal pee... yuck!
The heat and discomfort of the dark desert...
To compound issues, Herod now wants all babies killed!
So many things just not right that Christmas!
But guess what?
He came...
Nothing could have stopped Him!
I didn't even hear him complain
Cos he was thinking of you.
He wanted you to have life
And have it more abundantly
Whatever you do this Christmas..
Don't complain
Just think of him..
Accept the gift he brought you
The gift of Him: Life in abundance
