Intel has announced that the next Intel Xeon Scalable processor family (codename: Cooper Lake), which will be available as part of the Intel Xeon Scalable Platforms from the first half of 2020 onwards, will offer 56 cores per socket and built into a standard, plug-in CPU (Central Processing Unit). AI (AI) announced that it will have the ability to accelerate learning.
The groundbreaking platform performance offered in the high number of cores of Cooper Lake processors benefits from the features built into the increasingly demanding Intel Xeon Platinum 9200 series, amongst the world's most demanding high-performance computing companies such as HLRN, Advania, 4Paradigm.
✓✓✓What this processor has to offer
Next Intel Xeon Scalable processor family (codename: Cooper Lake) Twice the number of processor cores (up to 56 cores), higher memory bandwidth and higher AI interaction and training performance than the standard Intel Xeon Platinum 8200 processor It will offer. The future 56-core Cooper Lake processor is expected to consume less energy than the current Intel Xeon Platinum 9200 processors. Cooper Lake will be the first x86 processor to deliver built-in high-performance AI training acceleration through the new bfloat16 support added to Intel's deep learning solution Intel Deep Learning Boost (Intel DL Boost). The Cooper Lake will also be platform compatible with the 10nm Ice Lake processor that will be available next time.
For more than 20 years, Intel Xeon processors have been the leaders in platform and performance, providing data centers and businesses with the flexibility to choose the right solution for their computing needs. Next-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Cooper Lake) will reinforce Intel's uncompromised success and reputation in the field of server processors to date by delivering superior performance to meet the real-world workloads and business application needs of its customers.
