International Business Management is a module which is challenging as well as interesting at all times. This module had lots of discussion in every part of the lecture and seminar.
We had prepared a planning our study in Week 3 which helped me a lot in executing things and completing my work well because as I had done all advance planning regarding my assignment, I was able to do it properly without any disturbances and late submission. It helped me a lot because the deadline of every assignment was in short time which we had to complete it soon. With the guidance of my tutor and classmates I was able to compete with all my work. This made my weaknesses changed into strengths.
Planning always allowed me to do all my task in the best manner. Lecture slides even helps me a lot till getting knowledge about international trade and practices which are carried out all over the globe. There are few terms and rules which I learnt from IBM which has helped me currently and in future also in the job and business I do.
The only weakness which I personally felt was about the sentence formation and point to point writing of essays as in my country we had exams and here we have essays so due to that it took some time for me to adopt and understand.
Individual Essay being the first assignment of IBM and even for the whole programme was quite interesting as I had learnt to use all the databases for pulling out information. The module even allowed me to learn different scenarios to make it perfect with the research. With the help of videos and live examples of current issue which we discussed in class, it really helped me a lot to co-related all things in my learning.
The case studies which were discussed in depth were really good as we had a multi cultured class mate and I got lots of help from everyone.
This module helped me in every prospect of life including quick decision making about the companies which should be concentrated more on finding out information. It helped me a lot in comparing exact information within the company so that new measures can be found out.
As we had group presentation ,it was really a challenge for us as we also had to have time management in doing work along with proper research and making the slides with the best of our ability. Proper planning and organizing things on time was our main criteria. Since we managed to submit drafts on time, we were also in a position to get review from our tutor which helped all of us a lot to make it best so that we can get good grade. Making it and presenting our topic was the first aim which gave me lots of confidence to face crowd and to share my view among my classmates. The group presentation was then followed by Group Market report with the same group which was really a motivating factor because of the repo which was already built-up with the group and work was becoming really easy as we had shared the work to be done and then compiled in one.
Since my classmates were multi-cultured and were quite friendly and participative it was really easy for me to interact with them and gain knowledge about all their lifestyle, thinking , culture and ways of working. I really learnt all information about all countries people and their views. It really helped a lot to make friends as well. We had lots of cooperation from my group , which lead us to proper work and coordination in completion. All I can say is working in a team is really fruitful then working individually as the work gets distributed and also new ideas and ways to working can come in which can boost a person very well in doing his work.
At this stage of tough competition among every industry and in each sector, the market report also motivated me in many way as the assignments helped a lot to get information and then comparisons among substitute and related products.
I have learnt a lot from this module which have made me confident in every task I decide to do. Every lessons which I learnt were really interesting as it gave some new information to me and also helped me in doing lots of thing now and also in future. Organising skills of mine has also changed as lot as I now have the courage to make quick decision.
To cut the story short I would like to add that this module had me a lot in finding a solution over any problems or confusions a company faces. I also became confident to present my ideas in front of people along with increasing a lot with my vocabulary knowledge and sentence formation. This module helped me a lot and motivated me to do all task in nicest way.
