I am a director of customer service. I have been doing various director level jobs in the bay area since I moved here four years ago and before that I was a Snr Manager at a computer hardware company.

Move to where the jobs are then? There are no ways to improve your credentials? I do IT, residential security consulting, and PI work, so I'm not sure how improving your credentials work.

As the other reply below suggested too, I would network. Almost every good job I've had in my life has come through knowing someone. I've landed a single job because of random interviewing without knowing someone in advance.

Are you socially active in your town? Meetups? Trade memberships? Conventions? I'm just trying to help too, so please don't read this the wrong way. It's hard to convey voice in text of course. :)

I don't read it the wrong way. I appreciate the suggestions. I am not very active in networking. I am trying to get better at it but the Bay Area meetups are so numerous it is tough to find a worth while one that isn't mass amounts of people just trying to network.
