The Large Intestine Will Absorb Fluids From The Food We Eat And Leave Feces Semi-Solid

Diarrhea generally occurs when fluids from food are not properly absorbed by the intestines, or there is too much fluid being secreted into the intestines. Normally, the large intestine will absorb fluids from the food we eat and leave feces semi-solid. Food Recommendations for Diarrhea sufferers:
  • Food with soup. Soup foods such as soup and chicken or beef broth can replace body fluids lost due to diarrhea
  • Water
  • Foods/drinks containing probiotics
  • Diet BRAT (Banana, Rice, Apple sauce, Toast)
  • Food tastes bland.

Foods and Drinks to Avoid During Diarrhea:

  • Greasy and fatty foods
  • Dairy products
  • Alcohol and caffeine
  • Vegetables that contain gas
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Spicy food.

Not only coffee, it turns out that tea is also a beverage that contains caffeine. Although the caffeine content is lower than coffee, you should still drink less tea when you have diarrhea.
