#History: Gayo Lues In the Age of the Kingdom of Aceh
During the reign of Sultan Iskandar Muda the Gayo and Alas areas were officially incorporated into the Kingdom of Aceh. Gayo and Alas are divided into several areas called Kejurun. To Kejurun was given a bundle, a sword (a kind of command rod) in lieu of a decree. Gayo and Alas area is divided into eight Vocational. Six in Gayo and Dua in Tanah Alas. In Gayo namely Kejuruan Bukit, Lingge, Main Shiite, Patiambang, Bebesan and Abuk; in Tanah Alas, Batu Mbulan and Bambel. Vocational Patiambang is located in Sighting, with the entire area of Gayo Lues with 55 villages. Head of government held by Vocational with the help of 4 Reje, namely Reje Gele, Bukit, Rema and Kemala, and eight Reje Cik namely: Porang, Kutelintang, Tampeng, Kemala Derna, Peparik, Penosan, Gegarang and Padang. The main task of Reje and REje Cik is to build their respective areas and collect taxes from the people and choose Vocational. Vocational every year to give tribute to the Sultan of Aceh.
