INTRODUCTION - Hello from Ontario, Canada

My name is Deborah. I chose @countrygirl for my Steemit blog name for anonymity purposes and to sum up who I am. 

I am not a writer or wordsmith or a storyteller–I can't sing either. Well, I suppose I "could" sing if I wanted to but I don't have that kind of voice either. My voice comes through the lens of a camera. Something will catch my eye, I'll look through the viewfinder, frame it, play with a setting or two, press a button and then my kind camera magically makes it look good and I take the credit.

My camera is a Nikon D3100 and I am fortunate to own two lenses–my lens of choice is the zoom. Christmas is coming and a wide angle lens is on my "want" list (are you listening sir?)  I am also trying to figure out, still, how to use my wireless remote that I was given for Christmas last year.  A little procrastination in this country girl maybe. Likely.

I have many interests and hobbies that I will share eventually but my main purpose is to share my photos and hopefully hone my skills and learn from other photographers. I welcome  helpful comments or criticisms of my pictures (I am still a newbie).

The above is a recent photo of a happy faced sun flower–it's hard to stay in a mood when you see one of these friendly giants, isn't it? I captured this photo during our recent annual apple picking day at the end of September.
