To introduce myself...

Hi, Steemers!

Well, to say something about myself. I am Croatian, working and living in Zagreb, capitol of Croatia. I used to be a rally driver. I started with rallying in 2001.

                                 My first rally in 2001

That season I drove only one rally where I retired on special stage 6 because of fuel pump..

Next season I drove more. First rally was in Opatija where I managed to finish beside so much technical problems but that was good experience.

                                             Kvarnerski rally 2002

Same season I had bad crash on Delta rally (later Croatia rally) which was part of European Championship. I rolled car on one corner and that was game over for my codriver and me. While our car was on roof and we were upside down, bad small of gasoline was inside of car. I knew that gasoline was leaking inside of drivers part (cabine) and we could be grilled any moment. But we were lucky. Spectators came very quickly and opened our doors and we were out very quickly. One moment my codriver told me to go back to the car to turn of electricity because it could burn down the car so I did it. While closing to the car I felt fear more then when I crashed it. It finished good, nothing happened but car was destroyed. It was unrepairable. From then I started to rent a rally car.

                                                   Rented car in 2003

I must say it's so good to have a budget and rent a rally car. Team brings the car, tires, gasoline, technical assistance and your only problem is how to drive. Only problem is - the budget.

You must have LUCK and must be very communicative to find a right sponsor. I had some sponsors but the most of money came from my pocket or as a help from people around me.

                                             Gravel stages are great

So the rented rally car from professional team is the best option if you're not mechanic (I'm not, I am school professor).

                                                 Night stages are real fun

BUT when your budget is over, you can only watch the rallies and not participate on it. And that's painful.

After that (if there's no sponsors that will refill your budget), you can start to collect the money to buy some car that you can run with help of your friend.

Tarmac stages are full of dirt

There's always someone who want to help you. And that is the meaning of word FRIEND.

Again lots of dirt on tarmac road

If you have the right feeling behind steering wheel, everything is possible.

                                                             More tarmac stages

Rally sport is dangerous but if you have the right feeling and guts, everything is possible.

I could talk about myself more, but that's enough for now.

Cheers!
