Introduce myself: Antonin from Holland

Dear Steemians,

Please allow me to introduce myself. And now you expect me to say that I am a man of wealth and taste, which is true to a certain extent.
My name is Antonin Tuynman, I am 45 years old and live in the Netherlands close to The Hague.

I have started to steem two weeks ago and it has been a pleasant journey. The steembloggers provide interesting content and you don’t find the spamming, trolling and calling names you find on most forums.

I am married to a lovely wife and a father of four lovely children (2 boys, 2 girls) which is a great experience. My hobbies are blogging, yoga, meditation, making music (guitar, sitar and piano) and painting.

I studied chemistry and got a PhD in Biochemistry. I am half Dutch, half Spanish and I lived a while in France (now back in the Netherlands though). I work as a patent examiner in the technical field of biotechnology, more specifically in clinical diagnostics.

I developed an interest for artificial intelligence and saw certain parallels with concepts from Hindu and Buddhist spirituality (in which I am greatly interested). This made me write a book about whether the internet can one day wake up as a conscious entity. You can find the book here:

. My brother Ramon, who is concept artist at Blue Byte made the cover. It’s a peculiar broth of technology and spirituality. I called it “Technovedanta”, referring to technology and the Indian scriptures called the Vedas. (Did I tell you my wife is a Hindustani?). Technovedanta is also my nickname here on Steemit as well as the name of my blog: http://technovedanta.blogspot.nl/

I already wrote an introduction in Dutch, but I postponed my introduction in English, to see if I could really settle as a Steemian. It turns out I do.

My message to this world is: let’s care about each other and develop an attitude of all-inclusiveness. This world is becoming more and more divisive and it’s time that ends. I don’t want my children and everybody else to live in a world of hatred and war. We must also care for this planet and stop our over consumption and overcropping otherwise there will be no future for our descendants. To become all-inclusive we should try to learn to empathise, to feel what it is like to be another person.
