Have you ever promised yourself that from Mondays you will start to wake up early? And then you never did so because you could always just reset your alarm clock to a later time. It happened to me as well. 😂
In the past I was convinced that I was a night owl. I was sure that I was more efficient and productive just at night. I thought that I was unable to do my work during the day. I have to admit now that I was insanely mistaken.
I am ashamed to admit but there was time when I woke up even at midday 😅 together with my 2 year old son. And I was sure that there was nothing wrong with it. But I started to feel always tired so I decided to do yoga to find balance in my life. The only time I could do yoga was when my son was still asleep. Since yoga normally takes around 2 hours so I decided to wake up at 10 a.m in the morning. Then I became more and more addicted to yoga and meditation and I started to wake up at 9 a.m.. I was really surprised how I felt happier and felt more energy in my whole body. I was able to do more things than before. I had more time for things I enjoyed like crocheting and other crsfts. I suddenly realized that the each day is very important and that I'm responsible for my own life.
I started to wake up earlier and earlier and finally now I start my day at 5 a.m.. I enjoy the smell of early mornings and peace around me. I am more relaxed and calm since I know I have enough time to do everything I planned for a new day. I think meditation is essential for people and I am spreading this message during my workshops.
Have I convinced you? Would you like to wake up early in the morning?
I did my small research and realised that in the past there were many successful poets, writers, scientists woke up early in the morning. All of them knew that morning was a magic time and that you must spend it efficiently. There are many books and researches about this topic. And even in our modern world there are many successful people who know about it. For example, Jack Dorsey, CEO of both Twitter and Square wakes up at 5 in the morning every day to meditate and work out, in addition to the 5.3 mile walk. Another example is the 58-year-old, Tim Cook who revealed in a recent Axios interview that he starts each day by rising just before 4 a.m.. He spends an hour reading comments of Apple products. And then "I go to the gym and work out for an hour," he says, "because it keeps my stress at bay."
For instance, Disney CEO Bob Iger said he wakes up at 4:15 a.m. most days and avoids using his phone until he's finished his morning exercise routine.
And the last example, Howard ‘Schultz starts his day with a workout, which is usually a bike ride with his wife, but still gets to the office by 6 a.m., according to Portfolio.com.
And the list of such people is really long and you can find more information if you google it.
