What I've Learned from My First 3 Days on STEEMIT...

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago  (edited)

I know I landed here for a reason. The timing was magnificent...

If this is your first time seeing my name, you can find my introduction page here.

How many times have you heard things happen for a reason? My guess would be a lot. As long as you're old enough to read this, I can 99.99% guarantee that you KNOW everything happens for a reason.

But in that 0.001% chance, if you didn't know that, let me tell you what it means to me.

We are all a part of a greater picture. There's this thing called the Universe and it's extremely powerful. Your biggest advantage though, is that you have a GREATER power to control it.

That's right, I'm saying you can manipulate the Universe. With your thoughts.

How powerful would it be to document all those great thoughts?

Welcome to Steemit!

As the title says, it's been three days and I'm so excited about the amount of valuable NATURAL content I've noticed and created on this platform.

Here's the 3 day stats...

I don't care that it's a bot. I love the note.

Mind you, I have no idea what I'm doing with this cryptocurrency by the way, I'm learning as I go. I'm not afraid to admit when I don't know something, because there's something more powerful in learning, also known as self-education.

But I like anything that allows me to put money on the line. I show money a lot of attention because I feel like regardless of what people say about it regarding happiness, you need it in life. I also believe that when I show money a lot of attention, more just seems to come my way. When I do something I want, I commit! A lot of my thought beliefs come from my #1 mentor Grant Cardone. As a kid I've always been obsessed with economics and money. Grant is the first person to actually give me GREAT money advice, most of it is through his content.

It's so amazing, the Internet. You can literally choose the "5" people you surround yourself with, that are in a position that you dream to be in. Those are great mentors. Another option in my opinion would be books, because you can think like the author by knowing what they've done. The last would be utilizing someone else's time which they have so very little of, even to get them on the phone. People are busy. Having control over time is a major key.

Here are my top 5 recommended books right now:

#1 - The Lessons of History by Will Durant
#2 - The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*CK by Mark Manson
#3 - Sell or Be Sold by Grant Cardone
#4 - The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz
#5 - Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard

In these first 3 days on Steemit, I've been active hourly, besides the hours I'm asleep and I'm ADDICTED. I see it as such a long term crypto bank account which I don't even know is a real thing. I made a coinbase.com account and purchased my first portion of a Bitcoin and split it half and half with STEEM, then I loaded up on Steemit. I have a measurable understanding now of how big my investment can actually be worth. That's why I think it's awesome and that's why I see it as a crypto saving account.

Steemit, in my opinion, has the potential to be the social hub of the internet.

I mean you have all the control! Stay up to date with everything you follow on the "Home" page, write an article like you're on LinkedIn, post a video like you're on YouTube, drop a quote like you're on Instagram, make a search like you're on Google and get Steemit produced content!

I like gifs by the way.

So I joined a curation list, I don't even fully understand what it is, but why not?

Other than that I noticed, this thing called Hard Fork 19(HF19), from my understanding it's going to up the value of minnows' contribution, so Go Minnows! We will make dolphin status!

I don't know the ins and outs of everything on Steemit, but I'm pretty sure I can find the answer with a search. But I think it's a platform for us to use to get our word and our mission and our story out. I've followed @craig-grant and @trevonjb just to name a couple of people that I've found delivering really valuable content by naturally documenting their lives. I've already stamped my story imprint into the world when I published my first book, Escaping the Military, now I'm a full-time entrepreneur and it feels great to get a tad bit closer to FREEDOM!

There's a journey ahead. Let's bring the world to Steemit. Stay Blessed

Think Great,
Aaron

P.S. You can pick up my book Escaping the Military on Amazon.

P.S.S. Watch this for Golden Nuggets...

I really think what you wrote in your post is quite a true thing for most of the new comers here on steemit. Fir example, I also joined steemit about a week ago and I just really don't know anything. It's just like... Going with the flow. I get rewards, I claim it. I don't actually know anything.

That's great, we get to learn. Follow @hien-tran, he posts helpful info for noobs. Thanks for reading.

Found you during my investigation into a Steemian and thought I should let you know someone has been using a part of your text in his comment, pretending it was his sayings. https://steemit.com/minnow/@cryptoctopus/if-i-was-a-minnow-on-steemit-i-would-part-1#@raghwendra/re-anadikc-re-cryptoctopus-if-i-was-a-minnow-on-steemit-i-would-part-1-20170824t190820167z
