For my main job/career, I'm currently a DevOps Engineer for a startup based out of San Francisco, California. I've worked as a Build/Release Engineer at other companies like Tesla and Yahoo prior to my current company. I've been working professionally at Technology companies for about 9 years. The pay is great, but I'd like to control my destiny a fair bit more, which is why I'm looking at building other income streams.
I used to run a career coaching business on the side while I've been employed at other companies. I shut that down as I didn't want to do the 1-on-1 live-coaching model anymore, but I enjoyed being able to share my knowledge with people who actively wanted to improve. I found that the people that gained the most from working with me were people who were proactive about their careers, were interested in improving their skills, and were open to feedback about things they could improve.
