This post is recovered from my old Steemit account, I have lost the password due to a computer crash.... also will recover soon the crazy ass Chelseanacht post, prolly with some extra ;-)

You are infinite consciousness
manifested through multi-dimensional being
having a human experience
as a part of your never-ending journey to awareness of the original essence of all that is.

An ancient Taoist tale tells us this:
"The wise men of old times; their wisdom was complete.
How far have they reached? some of them have understood that in the root of all everything - nothing exists.
After them came the ones who said things exist, but never have defined them.
After them came the ones who defined the 'things' themselves, but didn't defined good from evil.
After them came the ones who defined good from evil.
As 'good' and 'evil' appeared - 'the way' (Tao) was broken,
When the way was broken - 'love' came to the world."

The wise men of old times, according to this tale, achieved a state of unity with the divine, they have reached a state called "Nirvana" in some cultures, and in others "the kingsom of heaven", "Eternity", "super consciousness", "god", "the universe\cosmos" etc. Every culture and the name it chose to describe this magnificent force, this infinite energy that unites everything and gives life and awareness to all things.
Those ancient sorcerers have understood the sentence that opens this post to the tiniest of it's nuances and details.

You are infinite consciousness
manifested through multi-dimensional being
having a human experience
as a part of your never-ending journey to awareness of the original essence of all that is.

This infinite consciousness, this immense creative force, this vast, ever expanding, all containing energy that words cannot even begin to describe, is called by the ancient Toltec sorcerers - "the Nagual", and that is the term I'm gonna use.

So after this super wise ancient sorcerers, came other people, who claimed 'things' exsist.
In other words, those people have forgotten the Nagual, their "field" of awareness shrank a bit, and they did not know the complete consciousness of all everything, which have made them, obviously, experience some kind of a split, a separation; from now own - there is an "I", there is a "me", in contrast to "the world around me", there is an "I", which differ from anything that is not "I", that is not "me".
And so, the experience of existence became of a dualic nature.

I'll tell you more about the dualic nature of life real soon

So after those people who were separated from the Nagual came another kind of people, in which this split was implemented so deeply, that they had no choice but starting do define everything they had witnessed. And so came to the world the art of defining stuff, at first, raw definitions, like: trees, animals, rocks or people, and after that, more complex definitions, such as different types of trees or different kinds of animals and so on, which ultimately gave birth to science as we know it today.
After them came other people, who saw this well defined world and decided to take it back to duality - the good and evil. This animal will feed me, another will try to kill me. This plant is food, the other is poison. That is good and this is bad, etc.
"As 'good' and 'evil' appeared - 'the way' (Tao) was broken,
When the way was broken - 'love' came to the world."
It was at this moment of defining good from evil when mankind has completely forgotten the Nagual, and "Love" came to the world.
And by love i mean, not the meaning behind the term, but the term for itself.

Explanation:
once i saw some TV show about a remote indigenous tribe somwhere in the middle of nowhere, and by the end of the show, the anthropologist asked the tribe through the translator, how do they feel living in nature. The translator got confused, consulted the chief, and then told the anthropologist they have no idea what does he want from them.
Apparently, they had no term for "nature". Everything they have always known is "natural". Their entire life is "natural", they themselves are "nature", they have nothing in their life which is separated from nature, so they don't need "nature" as a term!
So the same crazy conclusion can be applied to "love", which is a represantation of the Nagual.

After the separation and oblivion of the Nagual was complete and the people had forgotten that they are one with everything, mankind has experienced strange emotion, some kind of a weird longing towards the unknown, an unfulfilled desire to unite once more with the Nagual, which they had no idea of.
So this strange thing they have longed for but didn't know they named "god", or whatever name from whatever culture, and so came to the world those terms - "god", "Nagual" etc. Some cultures have described it as some outside figure, some divine entity that we have to worship, in other cultures it was describes as an ideal, some sort of destination we have to arrive to by intense spiritual work, and the elders that did in fact "got there", and to a "higher" level of existence which doesn't need the Nagual as a term, those elders were called saints, or holy men.

By the way, this separation from the nagual is even described in the bible, as the original sin of eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge, that makes people "be like God, knowing good and evil." And at that moment when Adam and Eve became aware of the concepts of "good" and "evil", they have lost the unity, and were banished from heaven.

So until now we have been learning the concept of the Nagual, the "infinite consciousness", now we will move on to "multi-dimensional being", and back to duality.

So as we said, since the banishing from heaven duality has became a big deal in human life experience, everything is divided like that, good and evil, dark and light, male and female, night and day, yin and yang, black and white etc.
Many philosophical and esoteric traditions have dealt with the dualic characteristic of the experience of life, one of them, and the one who brought to me the deepest knowledge in the most coherent way, was the teachings of Don Juan Matus, a Yaqui shaman, as described in the books by Carlos Castaneda.
In the books Don Juan explains Carlos that this duality is the result of the separation between the "Nagual" and the "Tonal".
According to the books, ancient sorcerers were able to achieve a special state of consciousness they called "Seeing", which is different than just looking. A seer can see the energetic essence of everything he wants, and explore the world through this ability.
When they used this ability to see the universe, they saw that the universe is basically infinite groups of infinite fields of energy, that looks like infinite strings of conscious light that goes to eternity. When they used this ability to see human beings, they have discovered that a human being is some kind of sealed egg or ball, that entraps some of those strings of light.
Moreover they saw that in any one of this sealed balls or bubbly eggs, there is a small point that shines bright light and makes whatever strings it touches - shine brighter. Whenever some strings inside the human bubble shines, the corresponding strings that are outside the bubble shine as well, and that is basically the act of "being aware".
Those sorcerers have decided to call this point "the assemblage point", because this is where awareness is assembled, meaning, the sensory input of each creature, in that case - a human being, depends on the "location" of the assemblage point, and in most human beings this point is pretty much at the same spot, which makes us percieve pretty much the same world.
Even more then this they saw that when one is asleep, or under the influence of "power plants", this point is moving from the regular spot to a new location, which results in a different perception, sometimes even a completely different world.
So now we understand that dreams and vision are not just "hallucinations", but a peep into another "reality". A Separate Reality, if you will.

One night while meditating upon this pieces of knowledge, at the peak of a massive acid trip, i saw prophet Daniel, and he explained this to me, using a very simple and effective drawing.

TonalNagual.gif

And so spoke Daniel:
"In the beginning was the Nagual
and the Nagual split into two parts - the experience (Tonal), and the witness (Nagual).
And the experience split into two parts - the experience of experience (large\external Tonal), and the experience of the witness (small\internal Tonal which contains a piece of the Nagual)."

So as you can see in the drawing, there are two circles. The large one is the universe, the small one is the human bubble.
inside the circles there are those special strings of conciouss light, this infinite and eternal fields of energy.
The green dot that is inside the human bubble is the assemblage point, that shines some of this strings and translates them into sensory input. The same strings that shines within - shines without, which makes the human being perceive the universe around him.
So, "In the beginning was the Nagual" which is the everything. in this example - the entirety of the drawing.
"and the Nagual split into two parts - the experience (Tonal), and the witness(Nagual)." - Here it gets a bit complex.
Basically, those energy strings of the universe are experiences, a collection of sensory data which is coded. The assemblage point is a fractal of tha Nagual itself, it is what ceremonial magicians call "Kia", it is the witness, trying to observe itself and be aware of itself subjectively. It is the thing that's recieving the code in the form of energy strings, decodes it and translates it into perceivable data, sensory input, and makes it an experience of awareness.
The assemblage point is what we truly are!
The smaller circle is the "small Tonal", the bubbly mantle that entraps the set of experiences that makes a being what it is. So basically, being a human being is just a collection of experiences like "i feel my hand", "i can hear with my hears" and so on, the thing is, that this small set of experiences cannot exist without a larger set of experiences of "being a human being (or whatever being) inside an external universe."
So without the external, the internal cannot exist, and have no meaning.

So the large collection of experiences is the universe, the experience of experience, the large\external Tonal. The small collection of experiences is the being inside the universe, the experience of the witness, small\internal Tonal which contains a fractal of the Nagual.
And with that we had close the case of "Multi-dimensional being."
The small\internal Tonal is that multi-dimensional being, and when one reach a point in which he is competely aware of this fact, one is able to shift his level of awareness and perceive complete other worlds or dimensions of existence, only by the seemingly simple act of willingly moving the assemblage point, and anchorin it in it's new location.

By the way, Toltec sorcerers define three levels of attention:

First attention is the mundane consciousness, the everyday awareness, this tiny litte shard of perception we use to perceive ourselves as human beings with physical body inside a physical 3D world.

Second attention is basically any trip outside the normal perception of the first attention.
Controlling the second attention is this wider level of perception when one is completely aware of the fact that he is a bubble of light, a multi-dimensional being capable of greatness, and in that state, one can move his assemblage point easily, using only his own pure will .
That is the essence of all occult and shamanistic studies while we still live here as human beings.

Third attention, Nagual attention is the widest, highest and deepest level of awareness that we can even think of, which who knows what lies beneath, if even. The awareness of us being infinity itself, complete everythingness, that is the top ambition and the greatest mission of sorcery, which take a lifetime to achieve.

Excellent post, babcic. Are you a practicing mage?

It is a shame that so many people dismiss mysticism and occultism (along with the scientific evidence for some aspects of it.) So much profundity there...

I am a practicing mage, yeah, recently discovered the crazy world of chaos magick, i welcome you to read more of my posts :)

Sure thing!
