We are a small team of two who like to show the art and stories we develop to the world. This team is composed of our artist Manuel (AKA: Magnus) and our writer Marco (AKA: Ardguevald); after some deliberation we agreed that in order to create quality art pieces and show it properly to the world we first needed a community in which we can evolve.
We want to be part of this wonderful community so we can reach our objective and in the process, get rewarded and reward our followers. For this whole experience to be fun, challenging and above all unique, we developed a few mechanics that will allow you guys not only to have a word, but to actually participate in our development and illustration of stories.
Main Theme
Our main goal is to give an interactive story with the best narrative and art we can, while you get the chance to decide (whenever it’s possible to actually let you) where our history is going, turning the final experience into something else and allowing us to not only progress but also keep the posts fluid.
To achieve this goal, we established a rule to post how the history is developing once per week while following certain patterns that’ll make this interactive for you and a big challenge for us… The first thing we’ll do is introduce our main character for this story, his personality and explain to you guys how you can participate.
Once you guys know the main character and how it all begins, we’ll record a short video with a 20 sided dice throw that will represent on each of it’s sides a different event that will directly affect where the story is heading. For example, if we get a 1 on the dice throw it means our main character will have to face an aggressive creature.
Knowing that our main character has to face an aggressive creature your work as community and followers will be to let your imagination fly and comment on our post what creature it will be (maybe a dragon, maybe an alien or even maybe something totally different and new... that ... will be up to you entirely) and explain it as best you can (what kind of creature it is, how big it is, what does it do, or any other characteristic you might think of) so we can draw it and begin to write what will happen next week on the story.
To allow a natural flow of the story, this dice throw will begin on week two, since the voting time for you guys will be of a full week, we'll keep up developing as you guys have fun in the comments. That way, while we are developing the story, you guys are commenting and voting for the events to happen one week ahead of schedule.
So you get get a better idea of what could happen depending on that dice throw, here’s what we decided for each side of the dice (We’ll explain each one with more detail next time we post).
1.- The main character finds an aggressive creature.
2.- The main character finds a shady relevant character.
3.- The main character finds an interesting and dangerous place.
4.- The main character gets a complex quest.
5.- The main character finds a friendly creature.
6.- The main character finds a friendly relevant character.
7.- The main character gets a fortunate event.
8.- The main character finds an interesting and peaceful place.
9.- The main character gets a simple quest.
10.- The main character finds a peculiar character (possible partner).
11.- The main character falls in a trap.
12.- The main character gets ambushed.
13.- The main character will suffer an unfortunate event.
14.- The main character finds an interesting object.
15.- The main character gets unexpected aid.
16.- The main character gets lost.
17.- The main character finds a piece of equipment (Weapon, Armor, Accessory)
18.- The main character finds temporal partners.
19.- The main character finds a potential love interest.
20.- The main character finds treasure.
Since it’s possible to get a ton of good ideas and sadly we won’t be able to make them all happen, your role as community is to not only comment on what should happen, but also to vote for the ideas other people comment and you liked, this way once the voting time is over we shall quote the winning idea based on how many votes it got by that time.
The post with the main story and probably the dice throw (depending on if it was necessary by that time) will also mark the end of the voting time for your undoubtedly wonderful ideas, that we can make a new dice roll for you to comment and vote, keeping everything going week after week.
Last but not least, as a whole week is enough time and you guys have a very important role on the story, we’ll do our best to use the rest of the week after our main post to show you some of our work or to simply chill out with you on the comments while we work on the main story.
To keep things orderly, we prepared a “schedule” so that you know which days to expect what and from who (the writer or the artist) please keep in mind that the schedule might see changes in the following weeks as we adapt to the routine. That being said here is our schedule.
Schedule
Mondays
We’ll always post every Monday the main story, dice throw if needed, close the previous votes and announce the winning idea and finally open up a new vote.
Tuesdays
Drawings day, our artist will use this day to post (when he actually can and has something to show) personal pieces of art, this way, you can see how far he has progressed so he can get some feedback to improve or, otherwise use this day to interact as much as he can with you.
Wednesdays
Narrative day, our writer will be the one on the spotlight this time, he will pick his favorite comments from the previously closed votes that didn’t win and give you guys a taste of how the story could have progressed if the voting outcome had been different.
Thursdays
Sketch day, our artist will steal the show once again by posting some sketches about that week’s current winner idea, to keep you guys updated and receive some feedback without giving away any of the story at all (you’ll have to wait until Mondays for that).
Fridays
Writings day, our writer will use this day and your attention, to post (once again when and if he has something developed to show) personal stories, this way you can point out any narrative issues you find out so he can get some feedback on his progress or simply use this day to interact as much as he can with you guys.
Weekends
Finally, we want to use the weekends mainly to chill out and have a good time with you guys, since by this time we’ll probably be polishing the details on the main story, we can’t do something more complex and time consuming but... since your participation on the project is vital and we actually care about what you think, we’ll try to give out some fun activities for you to stay entertained and get to know us better.
Story Time
Now that you know a little bit about us, have a pretty good idea about the whole project we’re developing and know how to participate in it, it’s time to properly show you guys what we meant by an interactive story. So, without further ado… Let the show begin.
Alan’s Bizarre Adventures
In a far away corner of the world, there is a small town forgotten even by the hands of god… In that town life is very peaceful, almost absurdly boring. Being a small town there was never anything interesting to do, and above all, everybody knew each other, which didn’t help out even a bit to get out of boredom.
Among those simple-minded folks, there was a single person who seemed to live at his own pace… Always looking for adventure to run away from boredom, even if that meant to get in trouble with the other villagers. That person was a little common boy with no relevant feats of his own named Alan.
With his bare 12 years, a decently formed boy thanks to the country labor but of painfully average stature, a squeaky but somewhat scratchy voice typical of a growing boy passing through puberty, skin softly burned by the sun, average disheveled hair and big light blue eyes with that peculiar spark of someone who’s always looking for adventure.
The boy developed a challenging and curious personality from all the troubles that he always got himself in, finding the craziest solutions to every single one of those situations, and to add a spicy flavor he inherited his father’s, the typical town drunkard, unique and sarcastic sense of humor.
A day as common as any other would be, a couple of traveling merchants arrived in town with a big stock of all kinds of merchandise and settled up for business. Alan, being who he was couldn’t resist the temptation and followed his instincts… he approached the merchants cart from behind using the racket caused by the villager’s reaction to that uncommon sight and went inside when no one was looking to see for himself what he could find in there.
Among the big pile of weird unique things, one in particular catches the boys’ attention almost as soon as he entered, at the other end of the cart, isolated from everything else there was... a dusty but colorful old book, faithfully protected inside a little crystal dome above a stone pillar, seemingly custom-built for the cart. When the boy approached to examine it, he quickly noticed that there was no sign of an opening mechanism… Not on the dome and definitely, not on the pillar itself which of course sparked the curiosity and full attention of Alan.
Further exhaustive examination and a few failed attempts to reach the book proved useless, and just when the boy was about to give up, he discovered a little hand shaped uplift on the cart, right beside the pillar and so dusty that it was almost imperceptible… Without thinking and almost as if he was hypnotized by it, the boy put his hand on it just to discover that it adjusted to his hand size and soon after made the pillar spin slowly.
Once the pillar finished a whole clockwise 360° spin, the crystal dome began to uplift itself while shooting out a spectacle of colors worthy of the northern lights and finally granting access to the “magically” renewed book. That mystical book flew by itself to stand right in front of Alan and slowly opened itself showing a single question on its first page.
-Who wishes to partake on this wonderful adventure?
Those words resonated on the boy’s head as if someone was whispering directly in his brain… Alan quickly realized that he didn’t have much time left, as the lights show surely had been noticed outside the cart, but no matter what he did, he couldn’t close or even move that book mystically floating in front of him.
Alan tried to change his strategy and quickly searched around for something to write on the book, after all if we was going to get caught, yelled at and grounded for that little mischief, he at least wanted to take it to the very end, and so he heard the words again on his head.
-Who wishes to partake on this wonderful adventure?
Finally, he answered the call in the same way he heard it… from his mind.
-Alan.
And in that very moment his name wrote itself on that little empty line below the question as if some weird magic act was being at play… Before he could react an intense and blinding white light filled the room, it was so intense that just before he could reach the exit everything was that… An empty but warm white light.
Introduce yourself ending
And that was it guys, that is how the extravagant adventures of our little friend Alan begin... we’ll continue the next week as planned, and meanwhile we need you to star taking part on the story (we won’t be tossing the dice this week, as we have a we have an important question in mind for you to comment, debate and vote).
In which kind of universe you’d like Alan’s adventures to begin?
Will it be steampunk, medieval, sci-fi or something new?
It will be totally on your hands, so… Comment your ideas about what kind of universe should Alan be in and vote for your favorite idea so that next Monday we can announce the winning idea and start to work on it.
We hope that our little story achieved its’ first goal and you find it as entertaining to read as we did developing it… And above all let’s do our best together to make this a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.
See you guys next week and let your creativity fly.

Dear lord, stop spamming around pal. This post is to get ourselves known around and get some feedback on our art, not to catch some money-blinded spammers.

No problem pal. Thx for replying, and feel free to post your resteem feature on future posts. Just make sure you only do it once because you can get easily mistaken for a spammer or get annoying, peace.
