Whas up! Y'all?
My name is Dub Haynes my real close friends call me Mista' Haynes...
Ha Ha! Just kidding.
My online friends call me "Dub."
I'm an ole kuntry boy from the swamps of northeast Louisiana.
Normally, I can't pay attention much less pay my bills!
My life is like an all out attempt and being a mixed up bag
of piles of dogs (7 98#'s to 30#'s), a pot bellied pig, a ole swag nag horse, and my kid.
It's a long story but Drew was diagnosed with ADHD and Prolonged Q / T Syndrome Type 2
(Now he's almost Grown!) He has an implanted automatic internal
cardiac defibrillator in his left chest area.
Yeah that's a mouthful... AICD for short.
Anyway I've had him since he was 4 and now he is a ripe old age of 16.
A little about his disease.
Long Q/T is simply a slow or slower than normal recharging of the heart. Drew's ran at sinus bradycardia. Always around 60 bpm. Well after we had him tested.
He was getting close to the lethal level and above but not experiencing symptoms
and just by chance or vibrations or God or god or whatever you believe, we found it.
What happened was I had him tested for ADHD and he was given
the connor survey. Everyone he was in contact with got to score him on various things.
None of the scores were at the normal level so we were getting him medicated.
At that point, he had to have an Electrocardiogram or more commonly
called EKG test.
This was to check his heart before going on stimulants.
The stimulants make little calm zombies. Yeah I've seen it first hand.
It doesn't affect them like adults.
And it is D-Methamphetamine or was..
I'm sure there are a host of others by now.
So anyway back to the story:
A this point the Long Q/T was detected.
Talk about hitting you hard.
All the playing football and soccer and PE in school instantly vanished.
He was to have to lead a sheltered life.
Anyway later we "opted in" for a operation to have the implant, which
could save his life if he needed it.
It should not have been a hard decision. But for me it was.
Having my kid go under the knife was a big deal. Not a walk in the park.
Especially Cardiac surgery. It was an experience I would never wish on anyone.
He was smiling always always always and happy happy happy with no
signs of any issues at all...
Just a real happy kid always full of energy.
Like bouncing off the walls energy.
Like really bouncing off them...
You Here Me? Funny Now but wasn't then! lol
So it has been a ride.
Much more to the story..
Maybe I'll get around to it.
Love him to the end!
Looking back now I wish and he wishes we had not gotten the device.
He's never needed it or not so far.
His disease is the same one that all the athletes were just dropping dead center court
with a heart attack.
So a door slam, a door bell, a phone ring, a scare, a fair ride, a jolt.. anything could set him off.
According to the doctors anyway...
This is the Real me..
And I don't really care if you like me or not.. I love you anyway! Ha Ha so there!
I try to just chill. Live and let live. Be at peace with myself and the world around me.
And help solve others problems if I can...
I suppose you can call me a "Jack of All Things and Master of a Few."
My career has gone from 7-11 cashier to carpenter's helper to electrician's helper
to the paper industry to the plastic bag industry to owning a local bar to owning
a pallet recycling company to insurance sales to copier sales to network administrator
to college student (summa cum laude) to advance registered respiratory therapist to
full-time entrepreneur, web traffic provider www.thetrafficprophet.com, part time altcoin trader and miner!
Gotta laugh at that resume..
I knooooow some stuff. Ha Ha.
But anyway.. in my case... Things changed this past year... like really changed...
Real success came.
Sometimes when you least expect it things just happen actually in your favor...
Randomness?
Maybe or Maybe Not.
I believe that all things are in motion and all things when vibrating
in harmony just come together.
An aligning happens with what you call god or divine...
or the universe...or dark matter or whatever!
Ha Ha! Anyway...
I'm the son of "My Parents". (Both diseased)
I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. One brother passed from a rare form of melanoma cancer and the other is dying now with metastatic prostate cancer... and is on hospice for end of life pain management... so theirs that... did i mention I hate cancer.. Dad passed with bone cancer at 91 and mom had skin cancer...
Anyway gloom and doom.. did i mention I hate cancer...
Did I mention that I believe Cannabis Oil can cause cancer to go into permanent remission?
Ok ok... so... The odds are not in my favor... I know I know...
So on with the particulars...
Mom was a Texan from San Antone and Dad was from here (West Monroe).
Dad was an Army Air Corpsman and then later an Air Force Captain and a pilot in WWII.
Mom was a Bell Telephone operator...
Like the Old Ma Bell...
She had the old pull and switch telephone operator system to work with then...
A big desk of wires and plugs... I've seen a picture of her working.
Like you just picked up the phone and she connected after you told her who to call..
And she had a 20 pound big microphone strapped to her chest all day.. lol.
Like Mayberry for realz.. yeah i'm dating myself. lol
Dad worked in paper industry and then later became an entrepreneur...
he called himself a "Paper Broker." He bought and sold paper and plastics...
his first year he made 140k.. in the 1970's that was goooooood money...
I had a silver spoon in my mouth for sure.. fatboy... lol
Mom and Dad got together and when Dad got out of the service and they moved
back to Ouachita Parish and settled.
Couple years later I showed up. Ha ha.
Check it out.. 13 pounds and 10 ounces.. I came out ready to walk.. lol
or so the doc told my mom... then of course she told me.. lol
So in between all that I had way too many wives...
Been drunk way too many times...
Been totally irresponsible...
Beeeen soooo high...
Did shrooms..
Did acid...
Did meth..
Did anything I could..
Rehabilitated myself...
Got my kids back in 1980...
Let my mom raise them...
Regret that...
Then started raising Drew..
And the fun began when I got him at 4.
Would you believe my mom raised my kids then my grandson later.
She wagged a kid on her hip till she was 87 years old.
And I took over the tradition.
So ha ha... There you go.
Do an ole boy a favor and up vote this... pretty please..
I will dance at your next weddin' if you fly me out! lol
Well me and Drew.. hope its in a legal cannabis state tho...
Ole Dub Signing Out forever...
Well maybe not...
People depend on me... ;)
C-Ya! Love Ya! Mean It!
Oh and Be Excellent To Each Other!
Dub
By the way ...
I ain't sceeeered of putting out this personal information cuz...
Google already knows...
I know they know...
You think they know?
I think they know...
