Sorry to hear about your neck, it's never fun getting injured. I messed up a finger on a training session 2 weeks past, still recovering, but that's just part of the sport. If you ask me, the best HEMA equipment is where you can actually feel the pain of being hit, without sustaining severe injuries. Nothing teaches you to fight properly (i.e not just rushing in blindly because you know you can't get hurt, and hoping for the best) like pain.
