Achievement1 - My Introductory Post on Steemit

Hi everyone, Ken Nwachukwu is my name and I’m very happy to post today introducing myself to the steemit community. I see it as a platform where people can express themselves freely and blog about things that are dear to their hearts and read about other people too with their own experiences while trying to make sense of the world we leave in today.

I am from Nigeria and have travelled to different parts of the world but currently reside in Nigeria. I am an entrepreneur that is currently making a leaving from catfish farming, and transportation business, investing in small business start-ups that require small investable capital with very low interest and in some cases no interest at all just to help the small business owner have a head start and succeed without the worry of taking bank loans that tend to harm their businesses from the word go.

I’m also into crypto-currencies trading, investment and speculation for over 10 years now and I must say that I’ve seen and experienced a lot of stuff that could last me a lifetime though the crypto-currency industry hasn’t been here for a long time when compared to banking, gold trading or forex business. I’ve experienced different cycles of the bear market and bull market, regulations and recession and all I can say is one have to be patient, take risks that you can leave with if it fails, take opportunities and not spend too much time procrastinating and also learn to take profits when you can. But by all means, hang in there and learn as much as you can but never give up.

We started catfish farming last year through the encouragement of my wife, as she prefers eating fish instead of meat, so for us, it was a hobby that was to take care of the family’s protein needs but I’m delighted to say that we have grown it to a big business that is contributing to the growth of the family finances. I enjoy breeding the fish from juvenile to maturity and selling them off for cash or having them for food as we get to prepare different types of catfish delicacies. We don’t only sell fresh catfish, we also process dried catfish using our locally fabricated gas oven to dry them so that we can reach a broader market. I love watching them grow and introducing my family and friends that visit us to see the fish pond as the business is done in my compound.

I’m also into photography, taking pictures of my environment, nature and things that are happening around me, I love reminiscing about good times when I go back and watch those old pictures or videos. I’ve been thinking of starting stock photography soon as I see it as a source of passive income. I’ve been doing some research about how it works, watching video tutorials and doing some readings just to get the full gist of it before I jump into the business. I’ll let you guys know how things pan out when I finally set the ball rolling in this area when the time comes.

I saw Steem via crypto research as I love reading up on crypto stuff, I see crypto-related news here and also saw some blog posts about every real-life stuff on the platform and I love it and would like to be a part of it too. I’ll be posting mostly about the family catfish farming activities, food-related stuff, and photos and videos from my travels and events around me.

I love reading educative stuff, things that broaden my mind’s knowledge and expand my knowledge base. I love learning new things and reading entertaining stuff that puts a smile on people’s faces. I do hope that my post will do the same for people who will read it. I hope to get motivated to do new stuff and learn new things while on Steemit as that is what I wish to do for people that follow me here.
